Light² S and Light² S 200 White: Sharkoon introduces two new ultralight mice

Sharkoon has a new iron in the fire. The experts for gaming peripherals presented their newest gaming mouse, the Light² S. And it seems to have a lot going for it. The newest rodent from the manufacturer of high-quality and powerful PC components and accessories is not only supposed to be extraordinarily light. On top of that, Sharkoon wants to offer the user unlimited freedom of movement and a high degree of individualization. Everyone should be able to enjoy the attractive features. After all, the new Light² S can be used by both left and right handed users.

Many lefties know the miserable problem of the mouse search. Often it is the case that the device that fully meets their own expectations is only suitable for right-handed users. Sharkoon takes a different path with its Light² S. Thanks to the ambidextrous design, anyone can gamble with the ultra-light mouse. This is not only due to the even and unagitated shape of the mouse. The manufacturer also relies on a symmetrical button arrangement.

The mouse has two thumb buttons on the right and left side. The corresponding functions can be assigned according to taste. The even shape should not only make the praiseworthy ambidexterity possible. In addition, the manufacturer wants to achieve that the mouse lies comfortably in the hand.

High resistance despite low weight

With the Light² S, name is program. The ultra-light gaming mouse weighs just 78 grams. Yet despite its low weight and the fragile honeycomb structure, according to Sharkoon, the lightweight should be very robust. Due to the low weight, the manufacturer promises a racy and extremely fluid gaming experience. As a gamer, one should never lose control and always have everything under control. Thanks to the proven PTFE feet, the Light² S should also virtually glide over the mouse pad. The apparently very well thought-out concept is rounded off by a cable that is sheathed in a special textile. So it should not disturb at any time.

High precision

Sharkoon also seems to leave nothing to chance when it comes to sensors. Thus the manufacturer relies on the optical PixArt-PAW3327. This should make maximum performance of up to 6,200 DPI possible. With this, Sharkoon promises that even high-precision aiming should not be a problem. Those who would like to make adjustments will be pleased to have the appropriate software. In this software, the properties of the Light² S can be adjusted to your whim. Here, for example, a five step regulation of the DPI numbers is possible. Alternatively, you can use the DPI selection button on the mouse itself.

More Information

Now there is something on the eyes

Even an ultra-light mouse like the Light² S from Sharkoon cannot do without modern lighting effects. For example, the manufacturer surrounds the case with a light strip which makes the mouse a real eye-catcher.  A special treat is available at the back end. Here the logo of the manufacturer Sharkoon shimmers through the open honeycomb structure of the ultra-light mouse. Of course you can also adjust the RGB lighting of the mouse within the software. According to the manufacturer, many different color combinations of the entire RGB spectrum should be possible here. Those who love it especially fancy can fall back on the various effects.

Additional mouse introduced

If you want a little more power and a noble design, you should take a look at the new Light² 200 White Edition. Here Sharkoon has introduced a white version of the ultra-light mouse which was already introduced to the market in October. At 62 grams, this mouse weighs even less than the Light² S. But it hasn’t had all the advantages yet. In addition, the white jewel shines with a proud 16,000 DPI.

Prices and availability

The somewhat cheaper Sharkoon Light² S can be purchased immediately at a UVP of 24.99 Euro in retail stores. To a UVP of 49.99 Euro one can however purchase the somewhat stronger Sharkoon Light² S 200 White.
