Logitech G Fits: True wireless gaming earbuds with high wearing comfort

At the Logi Play event, the manufacturer presented exciting true-wireless earbuds with the Logitech G Fits, which are specifically aimed at gamers. A special feature marks the LIGHTFORM technology, which is supposed to provide a high wearing comfort and a customized fit.

So now Logitech G is also entering the segment of TWS in-ear headphones for gamers, where Razer, for example, is vying for gamers’ favor with its Hammerhead series like the Hammerhead True Wireless Pro Earbuds (our review) or the Speedlink Vivas LED (our review).

But the Logitech G Fits definitely bring a few innovations to the table. Especially in terms of wearing comfort, because the manufacturer promises a perfect, individual fit. This is made possible by the new LIGHTFORM technology.

The earpieces of the earbuds form within just 60 seconds and thus adapt to your very individual ear shape. Gel-filled earbuds are used here, which can take on the shape of the inside of your ears and thus enable almost perfect wearing comfort.

The technology was developed in conjunction with Ultimate Ears, who are big on customizable earbuds. Most recently, they introduced the UE Drops in-ear headphones with 3D ear canal measurement.

“This patented technology shapes the Earbuds’ fitting pieces to the shape of your ears using a photopolymer that magically hardens when exposed to light,” Logitech promises for the G Fits on the overview page of its new LIGHTFORM technology.

Sound rich, but without ANC

The manufacturer has also drawn on the expertise of Ultimate Ears for the sound characteristics of the Logitech G Fits, promising a full, warm and detailed sound with rich, booming bass.

Covering a frequency band of 20 Hz to 20,000 Hz at an impedance of 16 ohms, while two beamforming microphones (100 Hz to 8,000 Hz) are said to ensure clear voice transmission. Weighing 7.2 grams each, the earbuds feature specially tuned 10mm drivers.

The sound can also be customized via the FITS companion app, which offers, for example, various equalizer presets for different game genres, music, podcasts, bass boost and much more. Of course, custom EQ settings can also be made and saved.

However, the gaming earbuds do without active noise cancellation (ANC), but the passive attenuation should already be convincing thanks to the LIGHTFORM technology.

Battery life and connection

The Logitech G Fits offer a total of three connection options. They can be used with particularly low latency with the help of the USB receiver and make use of Logitech’s Lightspeed technology. Here, the Earbuds can be paired with PC, Mac, PS5, PS4, Nintendo Switch, and Android devices.

Alternatively, they are equipped with two Bluetooth modes: a gaming mode with particularly low latency, as well as a classic Bluetooth 5.2 mode, which offers a longer battery life and higher range.

Up to 7 hours of runtime in Lightspeed and a maximum of 6.5 hours of battery life in Bluetooth mode are offered, and you can extend the runtime by another 8 to 12 hours in conjunction with the charging case.

Price and Availability

The Logitech G Fits gaming earbuds should be available in Europe in 2023, but the manufacturer has not yet given a specific date. In the US, the in-ear headphones are priced at around $230. More details can be found on the official product website.
