It was only in February 2026 that Logitech made headlines with the Logitech G Pro X2 Superstrike—now a new leak is already hinting at a successor that could be released in just a few months.
Improved controller and optimized HITS system
The information comes from X user @jakeufps, who cites a leaker from the Pericord Discord server. According to the report, the G Pro X2 Superstrike 2 will feature an improved main controller as well as further refinements to the Haptic Inductive Trigger System (HITS). In the current mouse, this system already detects how far the left or right button is pressed, rather than relying on a classic mechanical click—the clicking sensation is instead simulated via haptic feedback. According to the leak, the successor’s click latency is expected to be reduced by up to 30 milliseconds. The built-in sensor is reportedly unchanged.
No major redesign expected
The leaker himself would like to see a completely redesigned chassis, since Logitech has been using the same shape for its premium mice for years. However, he assumes that, aside from the improvements mentioned, there won’t be any other major changes. The short time frame also suggests this is unlikely: the original model was released only about four months ago.
Possible unveiling in September
According to the leak, Logitech is set to unveil the new mouse in September at Logitech G Play. A revised version just over six months after the original would be unusually quick for the manufacturer. The current G Pro X2 Superstrike costs 180 euros in Germany, placing it firmly in the premium segment. The successor is expected to have a similar or even slightly higher price.
