Logitech: Mouse and keyboard presented in a special design

Logitech has introduced two new products in its Studio series: A mouse and a keyboard in a colorful retro design are added. Emoji keys and typewriter sound round off the keyboard’s unconventional overall package.

The keyboard: Logitech POP Keys

The keyboard comes in a retro look and reminds us of a typewriter due to the key arrangement as well as the key design. This impression is reinforced by the fact that keystrokes produce noises that are also strongly reminiscent of those of a typewriter. The slightly protruding, rounded keys are attached to a colored base plate.

Technically, the device is up to date. The mechanical keys convince with a low response time; in addition, there are twelve FN shortcuts, which are especially useful at work. The emoji keys on the right edge of the keyboard are more for private use. A total of eight of these keys come with the keyboard, and four can be attached and thus used at the same time. An additional key attached to the upper side can be used to open a special emoji menu, which can be used to adjust the settings accordingly.

The mouse: Logitech POP Mouse

The accompanying mouse is designed for mobile use: it is kept particularly small to be easily transported. Logitech thus adapts the device to the needs of the current working world. Apart from the size, however, the mouse presents itself just as playful as the keyboard: It is available in many colorful variants and can thus be matched to the respective selected keyboard. Technically, the device is supposed to convince with a Smartwheel function for high precision and fast scrolling, as well as a software function for intuitive copying and pasting.

Linkability and desk pad

The new Studio Series devices, which the manufacturer says offer room for individuality and self-expression, can be connected to other devices: Both via Bluetooth and a dongle, they can be paired with up to three devices simultaneously. The keyboard works with the operating systems Windows, macOS, Linux, Chrome OS, iPadOS and Android and thus offers great flexibility in this respect as well.

In addition to the two peripherals, Logitech is also launching the Desk Mat, a new desk pad that can be used to place both the mouse and keyboard. The pad is splash-proof and has a non-slip coating on the underside.

Prices and Availability

All three products are available now. The keyboard is available for 99.99 euros, the mouse costs 39.99 euros and the desk pad is priced at 19.99 euros.
