LONGER LK5 Pro marks manufacturer’s largest and most advanced 3D printer to date

With the LONGER LK5 Pro, the manufacturer has presented its largest and most advanced 3D printer to date. It is said to be particularly versatile and easy to use and is therefore especially suitable for beginners and school or study purposes.

The LONGER LK5 Pro in detail

With a size of 300 mm x 300 mm x 400 mm, the LONGER LK5 Pro 3D printer even allows the creation of comparatively huge prints. It relies on FDM (Fused Deposition Modeling) technology, which is the processing of dimensionally stable as well as robust thermoplastics.

In this system, two materials are heated in an extruder head and then applied in thin layers to a build platform. Once the print is complete, you can simply remove and wash the support and get a precise and stable 3D print.

The advantage over SLA or SLS, for example, is that the entire process is cleaner and odorless, so it can be done in offices, schools or classrooms.

The LONGER LK5 Pro relies on a triangular design in which the Z-axis is held securely in position by long rods. At the same time, the printing process is particularly quiet thanks to 3Kits TMC2208 and can be conveniently and comfortably adjusted via a 4.3-inch touchscreen.

The touch UI is said to be particularly intuitive and family-friendly, and offers the option to preview the printing process. Interestingly for newcomers, the LK5 Pro comes 90 percent pre-assembled and is ready to print with just a few simple steps and no expertise required.

The technical data

Thanks to Teflon, the LONGER LK5 Pro is particularly heat-resistant and prints at temperatures between 190 and 250 degrees Celsius. The nozzle has a diameter of only 0.4 mm which promises particularly precise and detailed prints.

If desired, a print process can be easily paused and resumed at the touch of a button. The prints stand on a ceramic-coated glass bed, which promises easier removal of the print results.

The 3D printer is connected via microSD cards, which are conveniently included (including card reader), or via USB cable. Everything you need for use is included with the LK5 Pro by the manufacturer. Cura is used as the slice software.

The LK5 Pro prints at a maximum speed of 180 mm/s, but the manufacturer recommends 60-80 mm/s to achieve the best possible results.

Price and Availability

The LONGER LK5 Pro is available now directly from the manufacturer. In addition, there is currently a full 20 percent discount for the launch, which means you will end up with a price of 329.99 US dollars, which is around 323 Euros.

Alternatively, you can put together different bundles for the purchase and save even more. For example, with a Break Detection Sensor or three kilograms of PLA material in the colors white, brown, gray, black or pink, which you can combine freely.
