With the new Lymow One Plus, the manufacturer is officially bringing its advanced high-end robotic mower to Europe. The model combines an innovative double-blade system with a robust caterpillar drive and is primarily aimed at large and demanding garden areas. Compared to the previous Lymow One, the new generation has been revised in several areas – including cutting performance, navigation, off-road capability and battery technology. The combination of AI-supported navigation and a climbing ability of up to 45 degrees is particularly striking.
- Double rotary blade system with SK5 tool steel for precise cuts
- Crawler drive with up to 45° climbing ability for difficult terrain
- RTK and VSLAM navigation for precise route planning and obstacle detection
- Up to 7,000 m² mowing capacity per day with LiFePO₄ battery
Lymow One Plus relies on powerful mowing performance and innovative caterpillar drive
The new Lymow One Plus stands out from conventional robot mowers thanks to its unusual drive concept. Instead of conventional wheels, the device relies on a caterpillar drive system that has been developed for maximum traction on difficult surfaces. According to the manufacturer, the robotic lawnmower can cope with inclines of up to 45 degrees or 100 percent and cross obstacles up to 70 millimeters high. This design could prove to be a clear advantage, especially in winding gardens or on uneven terrain.
Lymow also takes a different approach to the cutting system than many of its competitors. According to the manufacturer, two rotating SK5 blades made of high-strength tool steel ensure a consistently high cutting performance – even with dense, tall or overgrown grass. This is supported by a separate blade motor with a peak output of 1,785 watts. This ensures that the speed of the blades remains stable even under load.
The Lymow One Plus also has a floating cutting deck that automatically adjusts to uneven ground. This is designed to prevent unsightly scalp marks in the lawn. The so-called Lycut system works at up to 6,000 revolutions per minute and can finely shred both grass and leaves. The resulting mulch material then serves as a natural fertilizer for the lawn.
With a cutting width of 40 centimetres and speeds of up to 1 m/s, the robot mower achieves a daily area output of up to 7,000 m², according to the manufacturer. This figure seems plausible for very large plots of land, but in practice it is likely to depend heavily on the terrain, obstacles and mowing intervals.
AI navigation and long-lasting battery should make everyday life easier
In addition to pure mowing performance, the Lymow One Plus relies heavily on intelligent navigation. The robotic lawnmower combines RTK satellite positioning with VSLAM technology to create precise maps of the garden and calculate optimal mowing routes. This is intended to avoid missed areas and improve coverage. The system is designed to work reliably, especially in complex gardens with trees, walls or narrow passages.
The Lymow One Plus uses a combination of AI-supported image processing and ultrasonic sensors for obstacle detection. According to the manufacturer, the system detects pets, toys and garden decorations, among other things, and automatically avoids them. This should not only increase safety, but also make the mowing process more efficient.
Lymow uses a 15,000 mAh LiFePO₄ battery with over 2,000 charging cycles. This battery technology is considered to be particularly durable and temperature-stable. Compared to classic lithium-ion batteries, it usually offers a longer service life, albeit at a slightly higher weight. For a robotic lawnmower in this size class, the choice therefore seems reasonable.
The Lymow One Plus is available in two versions. The 5A model with a daily capacity of up to 4,452 m² costs 2,999 euros, while the more powerful 10A version with a capacity of up to 7,000 m² is available for 3,199 euros.
Conclusion
With the Lymow One Plus, the manufacturer is expanding the segment of powerful premium robotic mowers with a technically unusual model with caterpillar drive and double rotary blades. Large plots and difficult terrain in particular are likely to benefit from the high traction, powerful mowing performance and intelligent navigation. Prices start at 2,999 euros and clearly position the Lymow One Plus in the upper segment for discerning garden owners.
