Magnat introduces Bulldog 7 giant Bluetooth speaker

Teufel, Soundboks and JBL are facing competition in the field of large party speakers. Hi-fi manufacturer Magnat now wants to launch the Bulldog 7, a huge Bluetooth speaker the size of a JBL PartyBox or a Teufel Rockster. This should be able to set itself apart from the competition thanks to an integrated mixer.

Size is important after all

Magnat doesn’t do things by halves with its Bulldog 7. If you compare the 35 kg speaker with conventional Bluetooth speakers on the market, the difference in size seems almost laughable. Due to the heavy weight and the size of 88 cm x 46 cm x 38 cm of the loud Bulldog, mobility is obviously not the main focus here.

Instead, you want to adequately sound either large indoor or even outdoor spaces with the speaker. So that the transport doesn’t become too bad an ordeal, there are suitable carrying aids on the huge speaker. In addition to handles, which are helpful in rough terrain, Magnat also installs suitable transport wheels, which we already know from comparable Bluetooth speakers like the Teufel Rockster or the JBL PartyBox.

Saturated performance under the hood

Since Magnat has a reputation to lose, the hi-fi experts also equip the behemoth of a speaker with plenty of power. At its heart are two high-performance woofers in addition to a high-performance compression horn driver. The latter should provide booming bass thanks to a size of proud 25 cm.

One look at the performance makes it clear that the Bulldog 7 probably can be used to provide sound for more than just a small outdoor barbecue party. Since the Class-D high-performance amplifier with 2 channels brings it to a peak power of 520 watts, the Bulldog 7 also seems to be ideally suited for full-blown outdoor parties with 100 guests and more.

Contemporary connectivity

Although you might not realize at first glance that the Bulldog 7 is a Bluetooth speaker, it brings all the benefits that a small mobile counterpart offers. And goes beyond that, too. You can connect mobile devices and other sources to the big box via Bluetooth 5.0.

Classic inputs like a 3.5 mm jack cable and a 6.3 mm jack cable are also available as connection options. The larger jack connection should even allow connecting guitars and other instruments. Magnat stands out from the competition with the built-in mixer. You can really let off steam here thanks to the extensive sound control. Three different channels are available for this.

In combination even louder

If one Bulldog 7 alone is still too quiet, you can connect a second one via cable and create a stereo pair that can fill entire concerts with sound. You can choose between mains or battery operation. Magnat has installed a 94 Wh battery, which should allow a maximum of 20 hours of playtime. So that you are always informed about the current charge level of the battery, six LEDs show you how much juice the giant speaker still has.

Price and Availability

You already want to get ready sonically for the summer outdoor parties? Then the Magnat Bulldog 7 might be just the speaker for you. You can get it now from Magnet directly at an MSRP of 999.00 euros.
