Marshall Stockwell III focuses on more endurance and better sound
With the Stockwell III, Marshall is focusing on significantly improved mobility. The battery life has been doubled compared to the Stockwell II and now enables over 40 hours of music playback on a single charge. This makes the speaker equally suitable for longer trips, outdoor activities or everyday use at home.
The so-called True Stereophonic 360° sound remains a key feature. Unlike classic Bluetooth speakers, the sound is not concentrated on a specific listening area. Instead, the Stockwell III distributes the sound evenly throughout the room so that music can be heard with comparable sound quality regardless of where it is placed.
Marshall has also integrated Dynamic Loudness technology. This automatically adjusts the bass, mid and treble ranges to the current volume. At low levels, bass and treble in particular are boosted to preserve detail and clarity. As the volume increases, a natural adjustment takes place to ensure a balanced sound.
New design, modular construction and power bank function
Visually, Marshall remains true to its familiar design language. The Stockwell III has a slim, vertical design with a PU leather strap inspired by guitar straps. The appearance is complemented by metal grilles on the front and back and the striking Marshall logo.
The controls have also been redesigned. The classic brass control panel has optimized, tactile controls. Presets can be called up more quickly using the M button, while the media control allows you to switch directly between tracks.
The more sustainable design is particularly interesting. Several components, including the battery, front and rear grilles, silicone cover and carrying strap, are replaceable. This should extend the life of the device and simplify repairs.
The speaker also offers an integrated power bank function for use on the go. Smartphones or other mobile devices can be charged directly via the USB-C port. Thanks to IP55 certification, the Stockwell III is also protected against dust and splash water, making it suitable for outdoor use.
The key technical specifications include a 3-inch woofer, two 1.75-inch full-range drivers and three Class D amplifiers with a total output of 127 watts. The frequency range extends from 54 Hz to 20 kHz. With dimensions of 181 x 150 x 72 millimetres and a weight of 1.3 kilograms, the speaker is easy to transport.
