Maximum suction power and hot water cleaning: Narwal unveils the Flow 2 at CES 2026

Smart home specialist Narwal presented its latest flagship in the floor cleaning sector at CES 2026 in Las Vegas : the Narwal Flow 2. Just a few months after the success of the previous model (our test), the manufacturer is setting new technical standards with this upgrade to further close the gap between conventional robot vacuum cleaners and professional floor care. With a massive increase in suction power and an intelligent hot water mopping function, the appliance is aimed at households that place the highest demands on hygiene and automation. In addition to improved hardware, the new, AI-supported obstacle detection is the main focus of the trade fair presentation.

  • Extreme performance: A suction power of up to 30,000 Pa removes even deep-seated dirt from carpets and joints.
  • FlowWash upgrade: The optimized mopping system now cleans floors with hot water up to 60 °C for improved grease dissolving power and hygiene.
  • AI navigation: The NarMind Pro system uses two 1080p RGB cameras and the WLM OmniVision model for precise obstacle avoidance.
  • Special modes: Dedicated cleaning programs for households with pets or babies adjust the intensity and volume individually.

Intelligent cleaning technology and massive suction power

The Narwal Flow 2 marks a significant leap in the technical evolution of robot vacuums and mops. While many high-end models from the competition operate in the 10,000 to 15,000 Pa range, Narwal almost doubles this value to an impressive 30,000 Pa with the Flow 2. This enormous power ensures that not only superficial dust, but also heavy particles and stuck animal hair are picked up efficiently. Adaptive cleaning is used to ensure that the appliance does not waste energy unnecessarily or operate too loudly at this power. Sensors detect the type and degree of soiling in real time and automatically adapt the suction strategy and the contact pressure of the wipers to the surface.

An essential core element is the further developed FlowWash wiping system. In contrast to its predecessor, the Flow 2 now works with hot water cleaning at a constant 60 °C. This is particularly effective for sticky residues in the kitchen or dried-on stains, as the heat significantly increases the cleaning power of the rotating mops. Narwal relies on the autonomous “NarMind Pro” system for navigation. Thanks to the combination of two high-resolution 1080p RGB cameras and the WLM OmniVision AI model, the robot is not only able to recognize objects, but also to categorize them. The system reliably distinguishes between cables, toys or pet droppings lying around and precisely avoids them. The all-in-one base station takes care of all maintenance after the work is done: it empties the dust container, cleans the mops with hot water and then dries them to prevent odors and bacterial growth.

Expansion of the portfolio: cordless vacuum cleaner and mattress cleaner

In addition to the flagship robot, Narwal presented other specialized cleaning solutions at CES 2026 that complement the ecosystem for the smart home. These include the new Narwal V50 series, a cordless battery-powered vacuum cleaner that impresses with its particularly low weight of just 1.4 kg. The special feature here is the integration into its own station, which automatically empties the handheld vacuum cleaner after use – a convenience feature that was previously reserved for robotic vacuum cleaners. With a suction power of 140 AW and the so-called CarpetFocus mode, this vacuum cleaner also automatically detects carpets and maximizes performance for deep cleaning. A 360-degree swivel joint also ensures high maneuverability under furniture and in tight corners, while the battery life of up to 50 minutes is also sufficient for larger homes.

The new U50 series mattress vacuum cleaner should also be of great interest to allergy sufferers. This specialized appliance uses a combination of physical and thermal cleaning. With a heat output of up to 137 °C and integrated UVC sterilization, the U50 combats mites and bacteria directly in the fabric. A high-speed beating mechanism also loosens allergens from deep within the mattress, which are then absorbed with a suction force of 16,000 Pa. To keep maintenance costs as low as possible, the U50 series uses a disposable dust system with compact bags that only need to be changed after around two weeks. These new launches clearly show that Narwal is increasingly focusing on holistic hygiene solutions that go beyond pure floor care.

Conclusion

With the Flow 2, Narwal is consolidating its position in the highly competitive household robotics market. The combination of extreme suction power, hot water mopping function and sophisticated camera navigation makes the appliance one of the most exciting new releases of 2026. The integration of AI to detect specific types of dirt in particular promises real added value in everyday life.

Although no exact dates or prices are currently available for the European market, the Narwal Flow 2 is likely to start at around €1,000 to €1,200 in the premium segment, based on its predecessor. Availability is expected for spring or summer 2026.
