With the Medion Erazer Beast X40 and Erazer Major X20, the manufacturer has unveiled two new high-end gaming notebooks that rely on the latest and most powerful Intel Core processors and the new NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40 series graphics chips.
Medion Erazer Beast X40 in detail
The Medion Erazer Beast X40 marks the successor to the Beast X30 and is equipped with an NVIA GeForce RTX 4090 GPU, the fastest notebook graphics unit the manufacturer has to offer.
The graphics card comes with a lush 16 GB of VRAM and the effective G-Sync technology – which is used here for both the GPU and the display – reduces tearing. The 13th generation Intel Core i9-13900HX processor is used as the CPU, which offers 24 cores and clock rates of up to 5,400 MHz.
It is supported by 32 GB of fast DDR5 RAM and a 2 TB PCIe Gen 4×4 SSD. To keep this powerhouse cool even in heated battles, the CPU and GPU are equipped with liquid metal thermal paste.
240 Hz display and strong equipment
When it comes to the display, the Medion Erazer Beast X40 relies on a 17-inch panel with a refresh rate of 240 hertz and resolves in QHD+ in 16:10 format. en decisive advantage thanks to the increased precision is provided by the mechanical keyboard with CHERRY MX Ultra Low Profile Switches. The Nahimic by SteelSeries technology is supposed to provide a rich sound.
With the Medion Erazer Cooling Kit, the manufacturer also offers an external water cooling system that should probably work similarly to the XMG OASIS. Furthermore, the Beast X40 is also available in a second version with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 and slightly reduced memory.
Medion Erazer Major X20
Not quite as heavily equipped, but also exciting, is the Medion Erazer Major X20. Here, you rely on the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 laptop GPU with 8 gigabytes of VRAM. The necessary computing power is provided by the Intel Core i9-13900HX processor of the cutting-edge 13th generation. CPU and GPU are equipped with liquid metal thermal paste to keep the temperature in the green zone even during the most intensive gaming. Fast program starts and short loading times are guaranteed by the 2 TB PCIe Gen 4×4 SSD and the 32 GB DDR5 RAM.
Also on offer is a 16-inch display with QHD+ resolution in 16:10 format, which also offers a refresh rate of 240 hertz. In addition, Medion also installs a mechanical keyboard with CHERRY MX Ultra Low Profile switches and Nahimic by SteelSeries technology for improved sound here.
