Medion Erazer presents three new gaming notebooks

Of course, the release of the latest Nvidia graphics cards does not leave Medion unscathed. The PC manufacturer, which has made a name for itself especially with its very good price-performance ratio, now presented the latest lineup of the popular Erazer series. In addition to the Medion Erazer Beast X40 already available with GeForce RTX 4000, which was introduced in January, three more new gaming notebooks are now hitting the stores.

New Notebooks with GeForce RTX 4000

Even though the latest notebooks from Medion’s gaming brand are tailored solutions for video game enthusiasts, the company emphasizes the all-round capabilities of the models. You should not only be able to benefit from the great performance when gaming. Especially creative people, who are involved in image and video editing or graphic design professionally or privately, should get their money’s worth here. This is primarily due to the upgrade in the graphics performance.

Thanks to the latest Nvidia GeForce 4000 series models, the devices should be well equipped for almost all graphical challenges. The company presented three new gaming notebooks. The flagship is the Medion Erazer Defender P40, which is equipped with a GeForce RTX 4060. The Scout E20 and Crawler E40 are no less powerful. Medion has equipped both of them with a GeForce RTX 4050. An Intel Core CPU of the 13th generation is at the heart of all three new notebooks.

Medion Erazer Defender P40

The flagship of the Defender P40 is undoubtedly the powerful Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060, which provides great gaming experiences with features like ray tracing and VRR. A real power CPU in the form of the 13th generation Intel Core i7 HX processor joins the side in terms of hardware. The processor is supported by 16 GB DDR5 RAM. The 1 TB PCIe SSD ensures sufficiently fast storage. To prevent the system from overheating in view of the powerful hardware, Medion emphasizes the revised cooling. In addition to “specially adapted heat pipes”, controllable fans are also to be used.

When it comes to the display, you can’t complain about the technical specs either. The 17-inch screen resolves in QHD and offers a refresh rate of 240 Hz. On top of that, the model’s screen edges are pleasingly thin. Even though most will probably rely on headphones when gaming with a gaming notebook, Medion wants to have created good acoustics. The integrated speakers come from Nahimic Audio and should even be able to provide surround sound. The extensive equipment is rounded off with the illuminated keyboard. However, there doesn’t seem to be a single key illumination.

Medion Erazer Scout E20 and Crawler E40

We continue with the Scout E20. This also offers strong gaming performance with its GeForce RTX 4050. The working memory in the form of a 16 GB DDR5 RAM matches the top model. Under the hood is an Intel Core i7 processor. The display is a bit smaller with its 16 inches, not only in terms of form factor.

The equipment also turns out a bit weaker than in the Defender P40. You “only” get 144 Hz here. However, that should be completely sufficient for many gamers. The RTX 4050 is also used in the Crawler E40. However, you have to make concessions in terms of the processor. An Intel Core i5 of the 13th generation is the core.

Besides a 512 GB SSD, you also get 16 GB of DDR5 RAM. With 15.6 inches, the display is the smallest of the new lineup. However, a Full HD resolution and 144 Hz harmonize very well with the screen size. Medion also emphasizes the matte coating of the display, which is supposed to prevent annoying reflections.

Price and availability

The most powerful notebook of the three new launches in the form of the Medion Erazer Defender P40 is available for purchase now. Here, a price of quite fair 1,799.95 euros at. If you are interested in the Scout E20 or Crawler E40, you still have to show a little patience. In the course of April you should be able to strike here.
