Medion expands its lineup of robot vacuums

Medion has a few new smart household helpers in its portfolio. The X40 SW, for example, is a squeegee that is supposed to make spring cleaning easier. The tech manufacturer seems to rely on state-of-the-art technology, which seems to easily keep up with the upper mid-range. In particular, an accurate laser navigation, which is actually only reserved for the flagships in the field of vacuum robots, underlines this.

Medion X40 SW: Premium model with laser navigation

The X40 SW is the new top model in Medion’s robot vacuum lineup. A highlight of the device with a suction power of up to 8,000 Pascal is certainly the laser navigation. It enables the hybrid vacuum cleaner to scan its surroundings 360 degrees around it to find its way around in the best possible way. Medion promises a battery life of up to 240 minutes, so even large apartments should not be a problem. A suitable app enables convenient operation of the X40 SW. Here, you can not only create cleaning plans, but also view the maps that the vacuum creates with the help of laser navigation.

No-go zones or very specific cleaning zones can then of course be defined in the resulting maps. In addition to the suction strength, the app can also regulate the amount of water that is passed on to the wiping plate on the underside. This should allow the intensity of the cleaning to be wonderfully individualized. Automatic carpet detection is also on board. This ensures that the squeegee automatically increases its suction power as needed. So you should be able to adapt the X40 SW to the dirt in your own four walls quite individually.

Medion S12 SW: The all-rounder

Somewhat less flagship, but still promising, seems to be the Medion S12 SW. Medion itself calls the suction wiper an all-rounder. On closer inspection, this seems to be true, at least in theory. The smart household helper does not offer laser navigation, but it should still be able to clean accurately.

You can also make individual cleaning adjustments to the S12 SW in the matching app. With a suction power of 2,100 Pascal, you are far from the premium class, but for the vast majority this should be enough for everyday use.

Medion S20 SW: The best friend of allergy sufferers

The number of allergy sufferers continues to increase. Medion is also aware of this problem and identifies its new S20 SW as the optimal device for allergy sufferers. Thanks to the integrated cyclone technology, this is said to offer a “consistently strong motor suction power regardless of the filling level of the dust container”. In order to work allergy-friendly, Medion relies on dust bags here, which can be purchased separately.

The big advantage over a conventional dust bin is the fact that no dust is stirred up when emptying it. In combination with the high-performance particle filter, runny noses and watery eyes should be virtually eliminated. The filter should be easy to clean for maximum hygiene. Of course, you should also be able to control the S20 SW via app and use it as a hybrid device (suction wiper) on top of that.

Medion S30 SW: Maximum adaptability

The highlight of the S30 SW is the so-called floating main brush. This is said to be able to adapt tailor-made to any surface. A vertical suspension makes it possible. Thanks to a combination of 2,800 Pascal suction power and a wiping function, you can fight dust and dirt in your own four walls.

Medion also emphasizes the practical voice output on its S30 SW. Thus, the suction wiper should be able to tell its user when it is finished or the water tank is empty. An app control is of course also to be on board here.

Medion E32, E32 SW, P20 SW and P10 W: The basic models

If you don’t need a lot of bells and whistles and want to save money, you can simply opt for one of the basic models from the robot vacuum lineup. On the one hand, there are the E32 and E32 SW, which can be controlled via remote control.

While both smart household helpers can vacuum the floor, the E32 SW also has a mopping function. The P20 SW can also vacuum and mop.

On top of that, it comes with several cleaning modes and a timer. Last but not least, Medion has a pure wiping robot on offer with the P10 W.

Prices and availability

Medion is making all of the described models available for purchase in its own store as of now. Here is the list with the associated prices:
