The MEDION LIFE X16596 comes to Aldi! From December 10th, the UHD smart TV with Dolby Vision, a screen diagonal of 65 inches, HDR, Wide Color Gamut and HD Triple Tuner will be available from Aldi Nord.
LED backlight technology and subwoofer
The slim MEDION LIFE with its elegant design comes with a resolution of 3,840 x 2,160 pixels in 16:9 format. The UHD smart TV uses LED backlight technology and provides a high image quality with an MPI of 1,800. The extended color gamut (Wide Color Gamut), Dolby Vision and HDR, as well as the micro-dimming technology ensure a natural and true to original image reproduction. To ensure that the images are fluid, motion compensation is provided by MEMC. The result is clear images and finer contrasts for every film or series marathon. A subwoofer is also integrated, and the DTS sound is sure to make the filming experience even more enjoyable.
HD quality, WLAN module and smart control
The Smart TV receives HD quality either via cable, terrestrially with DVB-T2 HD through the integrated HD Triple Tuner and satellite. By the CI+ module and the Smart Card brings the X16596 with the interface the entrance to coded programs. With the WLAN module of the Smart TV this is also Internetable and the pre-installed Apps such as Amazon Prime Video and Netflix can be used. An Internet browser and a media portal are also integrated. Mirroring the content from a tablet or smartphone is also possible without any problems with the wireless display function. Control is also possible with a smartphone or tablet. The MEDION Life Remote app is available free of charge. The media portal can thus be easily controlled with wipe or touch gestures. The app is available for both Android and iOS, so all the functions of the MEDION X16596 can be used.
Connections and power
In total, the new Smart TV X16596 from MEDION comes with four HDMI 2.0 ports with HDCP 2.2 decoding as well as two USB ports. In addition, there is also a headphone connection (jack 3.5 mm), a VGA connection and one connection each for antenna and satellite. The Smart TV was classified in the energy efficiency class A+ (spectrum A+++ to D), so it offers a cost-effective and power-saving operation.
What else is important:
The MEDION Smart-TV has automatic channel programming, a sleep timer and a parental control. Thanks to the VESA standard with a hole spacing of 40 x 40 cm, it can also be easily mounted on the wall. In total, the MEDION X16596 measures 145.5 x 89.5 x 34.5 cm with feet and 145.5 x 84.6 x 7.4 cm without the feet. The weight of the Smart TV is 24.3 and 23.7 kg respectively.
availability and price
MEDION’s UHD Smart TV will be available from ALDI Nord from 10 December 2020 at a price of 489 euros. The scope of delivery also includes the stand feet with the appropriate screws.
