MIDEA S8+: Powerful 3-in-1 vacuum robot to be released in June

Vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and all more powerful than ever before. With the MIDEA S8+, the company has presented its new top model among the vacuum robots. It has a suction power of 4,000pa and lasts up to 180 minutes thanks to its 5,200 mAh battery. In Germany, MIDEA is distributed by Solectric.

MIDEA S8+: Up to 250 sq. ft. in 180 minutes

With its 5,200 mAh battery, the manufacturer’s new robot vacuum flagship, the MIDEA S8+ is said to be able to clean up to 250 m². The dust container holds 450 ml. When it is full, the S8+ automatically navigates back to the suction station with a volume of 2.5 liters and empties the dirt container.

In the mopping function, it also resorts to an electrolysis station to sterilize the water before working. “Even with heavily contaminated water, the MIDEA S8+ manages to sterilize the water to 99.9 percent by producing hydroxide ion (OH-),” promises the manufacturer.

Wipe with Good Vibrations

When wiping, the MIDEA S8+ vibrates up to 500 times per minute to create more pressure and clean through more thoroughly. Combined with the floating roller brushes, the MIDEA S8+ achieves up to 78 percent more thorough cleaning than conventional robotic mopping systems.

The powerful Super BLDC motor offers 4,000pa suction power, which can also be regulated in four stages. The electronically controlled water tank with a capacity of 250 ml manages up to 200 m² of wet cleaning. Various cleaning modes can also be selected via app: selective room or area cleaning, individual cleaning, deep cleaning and zigzag cleaning.

Thanks to the three-layer HEPA filter, which filters out large and small particles, as well as fine dust, the 3-in-1 vacuum robot is also suitable for allergy sufferers. The automatic dust collection station with 2.5-liter capacity is equipped with a 700 W high-performance motor that reaches a suction power of 19,000 Pa and extracts dust in just 9 seconds. The special closure system prevents dust from escaping.

Multi-level mapping and smart home integration

Via Smart Mapping, the MIDEA S8+ automatically creates a 3D map of the home by laser and for different floors with virtual walls and editing functions. Thanks to laser navigation, the mapping is accurate to the centimeter. In the smart home, the S8+ supports Google Assistant, Google Home and Amazon Alexa and can be controlled via voice command or app.

Here, for example, suction power and water flow can be adjusted and edited. The MIDEA 3-in-1 robot vacuum also automatically detects carpets and switches to maximum suction power; when it leaves the carpet, it independently returns to normal operation. Over 30 anti-collision and anti-fall sensors also ensure maximum safety.
