Mobile workstations from Dell: Precision 7560 and 7760

Dell’s new mobile workstations can be configured as desired and can now also be ordered with a Xeon processor, up to four SSDs and a dedicated graphics card.

Many options – display and processors

The Precision 7560 is equipped with a 15.6-inch display. There are many different options for this, such as an HDR600 certified UHD display that fully covers the RGB color space and resolves in 3,840 x 2,160 pixels. For the Dell Precision 7760, on the other hand, there is, for example, a UHD display with HDR400 and a resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels, which fully covers the Adobe color space. Both models can be configured with numerous Intel processors. The basic features include the Intel Core i5-11500H, and there is also a choice of the Core i5-11500H vPro, Core i7-11600H, Core i7-11800H, Core i7-11850H vPro, Core i9-11950H vPro, Xeon W-11855M vPro up to the Intel Xeon W-11955M vPro. The TDP of the CPUs is put at 45 watts.

The Precision 7560 and 7760 can also be equipped with up to 128 GB of RAM, across four memory banks. There is also a choice for the GPU, either you trust the installed graphics units on the processors or optionally use an Nvidia graphics card. You can choose between an Nvidia T1200, RTX A2000, RTX A3000, RTX A4000 or the RTX A5000.

Differences and good features

There is a difference in the features of the two Precision models, with the smaller of the two only supporting the installation of three M.2 SSDs. On the other hand, up to four M.2 storage devices can be installed in the Precision 7760. The quick-change hatch then makes it relatively easy to swap them out. Should a quick or time-critical change be necessary, this would therefore not be a problem and the memory could also be used as a quasi-external storage medium.

In addition to Gigabit Ethernet, the WiFi 6E AX210 module and also an optional X55 modem from Qualcomm are available. The picture output can be done via HDMI or DisplayPort. Furthermore, there are two Thunderbolt 4 ports, two USB A 3.2 ports, 3.5 mm audio jack, an SD card reader and a micro SIM slot.

Overall, the 15-incher comes in at 360 x 242 x 25 – 27.36 mm and 2.45 kg, whereas the 7760 comes in at 400 x 263.6 x 25.98 – 28.6 mm and 3.01 kg.

Availability and pricing

The two new Precision models are available now, though prices depend heavily on configuration and have not yet been announced.
