With the Motorola Moto G82 5G, the manufacturer has introduced another mid-range smartphone that is a good deal cheaper than the Edge 30. Features highlights include a 120 Hz AMOLED display, a 5,000 mAh battery, and a 50 MP main camera.
Motorola Moto G82 5G launches in the mid-range
The new Motorola Moto G82 5G positions itself between the manufacturer’s G52 and Edge 30 and comes with a strong set of features. It is based on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 5G, which enables 5G in dual-SIM mode. It is supported by 6 GB of working memory and 128 GB of system memory, which can be expanded up to 1 TB via micro-SD card.
The G82 5G is quite compact with dimensions of 160.89 x 7.99 x 74.46 mm and quite light with 173 grams. Nevertheless, the manufacturer installs a 6.6-inch AMOLED panel with FHD+ resolution (2,400 x 1,080 pixels) at a pixel density of 402 ppi and a refresh rate of 120 Hz.
Other features include Bluetooth 5.1, WLAN 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, NFC, stereo speakers, two microphones and a 3.5 mm headphone jack. Android 12 is used for the operating system ex-works.
The cameras in the Moto G82 5G
On the back of the Motorola Moto G82 5G, a triple camera setup does its job. Here, the new model shares the specifications of its smaller brother G52. A 50-megapixel main lens (f/1.8), an 8 MP ultra-wide-angle camera (f/2.2) and a 2-megapixel depth sensor (f/2.4) are used. The smartphone records videos in Full HD at most, but with up to 60 frames per second.
The front-facing camera in a centrally placed punch-hole is also identical. The selfie camera has a resolution of 16 megapixels, but is a bit faster than the G52’s (f/2.45) with an aperture of f/2.2.
In terms of battery, the mid-range smartphone relies on 5,000 mAh capacity, while the G82 5G can be charged quickly with 30 watts.
