On July 28, 2026, MOZA will unveil one of its biggest product launches to date—and it’s quite something. The sim-racing and simulation specialist is expanding its lineup across four disciplines: Motion, Flight, Racing, and—for the first time—Farming. At the heart of it all is the MOZA HMA150 Haptic Motion System, the brand’s first full-fledged cockpit motion system. Rounding out the lineup are new direct-drive hardware, force-feedback controllers for flight simulation, a dedicated farming control system, and AI-powered software. We’ve taken a detailed look at all the new features, specs, and prices.

Anyone interested in getting started with direct-drive sim racing can already find a detailed hands-on review of the entry-level class in our reader review of the MOZA R3 Bundle. The new launch builds on that—and goes well beyond it.

MOZA HMA150 Haptic Motion System: Motion Throughout the Entire Cockpit

Until now, haptic feedback in most setups was limited to the steering wheel and pedals. The MOZA HMA150 Haptic Motion System breaks through this very limitation: it transmits the vehicle’s motion to the entire cockpit. The system is built around four HMA150 Haptic Motion Actuators, which together reproduce pitch, roll, and heave.

Specifically, this allows you to feel, among other things, the dip when braking, acceleration, weight transfer, suspension movements, changes in elevation, curb strikes, collisions, and the vibration of the road surface.

The key technical specifications make it clear that MOZA aims to combine large platform movements with precise high-frequency feedback:

  • 150 mm travel range
  • Speed up to 300 mm/s
  • Acceleration over 1G (under supported load conditions)
  • Maximum platform payload of 350 kg
  • Vibration effects up to 200 Hz

MOZA relies entirely on in-house developments: servo motors, control algorithms, structural design, and software are all developed in-house. An integrated controller eliminates the need for a separate control box, while an emergency stop switch and Controlled Descent Protection ensure additional safety during operation.

The HMA150 is controlled via the MOZA Motion Manager. There, users can load official presets and adjust the range of motion, overall intensity, individual motion axes, and vibration effects.

MOZA AI Motion: Motion Feedback Beyond Native Telemetry

One particularly exciting feature is MOZA AI Motion, which is integrated directly into the Motion Manager. This feature analyzes a game’s video and audio in real time, recognizes in-game actions, and triggers corresponding motion and vibration effects. Each scene activates its own combination of motion and vibration—so instead of a generic, one-size-fits-all effect, the physical reaction follows the actual action on the screen.

Important: AI Motion is designed to complement native telemetry, not replace it. If telemetry data is available, the Motion Manager uses it to provide precise, physics-based feedback in real time. If this data is missing, AI Motion steps in and generates appropriate haptic effects directly from the game analysis. This allows immersive feedback to be extended to significantly more titles. The intensity of individual events and output limits can be customized—for the right balance of immersion, comfort, and personal preference.

MOZA R16 Ultra Direct Drive Wheel Base: More Detail for Competitive Sim Racing

The new MOZA R16 Ultra Direct Drive Wheel Base is designed for experienced sim racers seeking stronger, clearer, and more responsive force feedback. It delivers 16 Nm of direct-drive torque and utilizes a flat-wire motor architecture to increase torque density while maintaining a compact design.

A 21-bit magnetic encoder captures steering inputs and motor movement with high precision, helping the system simulate changes in grip, weight transfer, surface texture, and vehicle balance. Processing is handled by a 600-MHz processor and MOZA’s NexGen FFB Algorithm 4.0, which process vehicle data with low latency and reproduce finer force feedback details.

A new force feedback interpolation algorithm has been added: when enabled, it intelligently smooths the transitions between adjacent signals and eliminates graininess, jerkiness, and step-like effects in the feedback. As a result, high-frequency details such as road surface textures and curb vibrations reach the driver smoothly, continuously, and precisely. Using MOZA Pit House, strength, responsiveness, damping, and other parameters can be adjusted to suit different vehicles, simulators, and driving preferences. The R16 Ultra remains compatible with MOZA steering wheels, pedals, and accessories, making it a logical upgrade path for anyone already part of the MOZA racing ecosystem.

MOZA R5 Pro Racing Simulator: A Complete Entry into Direct-Drive Racing

The MOZA R5 Pro Racing Simulator bundles the essential hardware for getting started with direct-drive racing into one package: a 6-Nm direct-drive wheelbase, the ES Lite steering wheel, the SRP Lite2 pedals, and a table clamp. It’s designed for users upgrading from controllers, gear-driven, or belt-driven systems.

The redesigned R5 Pro Wheel Base delivers 6 Nm of constant direct-drive torque, providing more power and performance reserves for more detailed, responsive, and consistent feedback. A high-resolution 21-bit magnetic encoder with over two million resolution points captures the finest steering movements and more precisely reproduces subtle changes in grip, road surface texture, and vehicle balance.

MOZA AI Coach: Train Smarter with Data

Already available—and brought back into the spotlight at the launch— is the MOZA AI Coach, which all users can access via MOZA Pit House. According to MOZA, this is the industry’s first AI coaching software that actively controls compatible sim-racing hardware during training. By placing your hands and feet only lightly on the steering wheel and pedals, you can physically experience the AI’s steering, braking, and throttle techniques, thereby building muscle memory through sensation—not just through visual demonstration.

The AI Coach guides you through progressive training levels: driving demonstration, pedal training, steering training, and free driving. Using the Beginner, Intermediate, and Professional modes, as well as adjustable AI assistance, you can transition at your own pace from fully AI-guided driving to complete manual control. Three steering guidance modes (Active, Pulse, and Haptic Guidance) offer different levels of assistance. This is complemented by real-time overlays and a post-session analysis that allows you to compare your steering, throttle, braking, ideal line, and lap times against AI reference laps.
