Just in time for gamescom 2022, MSI has introduced the new MSI Raider GE67 HX gaming laptop. It is the world’s first laptop with OLED display that operates at 240 Hz with a response time of less than 0.2 ms, a DCI-P3 color gamut of 100% and a contrast ratio of 1,000,000:1. The Titan MSI GT77 combines luxury, innovative technology and extreme performance. The MSI Prestige 16 with 165 Hz mini-LED display already made the start a few days ago.
MSI Raider GE67 HX in detail
In the new MSI Raider GE67 HX, the manufacturer relies on current Intel Core CPUs of the 12th generation up to a maximum of i9-12900HX with 16 cores and 24 threads, which enable a computing power of up to 150 W MTP (Maximum Turbo Power).
Thanks to OverBoost technology, a combined CPU and GPU performance of up to 220W power is promised. The whole thing is complemented with a maximum of 64GB of fast DDR5 RAM with a clock rate of 4,800 MHz and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti laptop GPU with 16GB GDDR6.
The notebook relies on a 15.6-inch QHD display (2,560 x 1,440) pixels with OLED technology, a refresh rate of 240 Hz and a response time of less than 0.2 ms. The DCI-P3 color space is covered to a full 100 percent, and the contrast ratio is 1,000,000:1.
The 2.38 kg notebook accommodates a 99.9 WH battery, which should provide for long runtimes. A Full HD webcam (1080p at 30 FPS) and a backlit keyboard are complemented by two 2-watt speakers. MSI Titan GT77: Design meets brute performance
The new MSI Titan GT77 gaming notebook is also loaded with brute performance. It also relies on the Intel Core i9-12900HX processor with 16 cores and a clock speed of up to 5.00 GHz, 64 GB of DDR5 (2x 32 GB dual-channel) RAM in a total of four slots expandable up to 128 GB, and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti laptop GPU with 16 GB of GDDR6 VRAM.
This allows for up to 1,640 MHz boost clock, 175 W of maximum graphics power with Dynamic Boost; up to 250 W of CPU GPU power with MSI OverBoost. The whole thing is complemented by a 2 TB M.2 NVMe SSD, which can also be expanded. 1x M.2 PCIe 5.0 x4 and 3x M.2 PCIe 4.0 x4 are offered.
MSI relies on a 17.3-inch matte IPS panel here, which becomes 120 Hz fast and covers the DCI-P3 fab space to full 100 percent.
The design relies on the luxurious aesthetic of the Mystic Light Bar and a mechanical keyboard with Cherry MX Ultra Low switches. A Cooler Boost Titan Quad-Fan cooling system keeps the high-end components cool. The 3.3 kg case also accommodates a 99.9 Wh battery.
