MWC 2023: Xiaomi Electric Scooter 4 Ultra announced

Who actually says that Xiaomi can only manufacture smartphones, tablets and vacuum robots? For years, the Chinese tech company has been more diversified than almost any other competitor. At the Mobile World Congress (MWC), the company has now presented its latest top model in the e-scooter segment, the Xiaomi Electric Scooter 4 Ultra. Highlights include a full suspension as well as a range of 70 km and a powerful motor with 940 watts.

Meanwhile, Xiaomi offers a range of different e-scooters. Until now, the Summer 2022 launched in this country E-Scooter 4 Pro was considered the undisputed leader in its own portfolio. This is likely to come to an end soon. With its Xiaomi Electric Scooter 4 Ultra, the manufacturer is not only improving the technical data of the electrified scooter. The company also wants to score with practical accessories like a matching helmet and a storage bag. On the e-scooter itself, the Chinese tech company now relies on a dual suspension system.

This provides full suspension, which should give the wheels enough suspension in the front and rear. This feature promises not only high ride comfort, but also makes the e-scooter fit for somewhat rough terrain. The e-scooter also underlines its compatibility for routes away from flat asphalt roads with its climbing properties. According to the manufacturer, the Xiaomi Electric Scooter 4 Ultra can even master inclines of 25 percent. In view of the installed motor with a whopping 940 W, that’s not really surprising.

On one charge up to 70 km

Away from the motor power, it is undoubtedly the impressive range of the Xiaomi Electric Scooter 4 Ultra that will go down well with many customers. Namely, the tech company promises 70 km on just one full battery charge. Whether you actually reach this depends not only on the weather conditions, but of course also on your driving style. In total, you should be able to choose between four different driving modes. The powerful motor is supposed to be able to accelerate the e-scooter to a maximum speed of 25 km/h. Of course, that’s too fast for the roads in this country.

At present, however, the manufacturer has not commented on whether a version legal for Germany with a throttling to a maximum of 20 km/h will also go on sale. If this is not the case, it would be quite surprising. After all, Xiaomi has always launched an adapted version on the market so far. How fast the e-scooter finally is can be seen on the display on the handlebar. In addition to the speed, you will also find other information here, such as the current driving mode.

Price and availability

When exactly the Xiaomi Electric Scooter 4 Ultra is to go on sale is still uncertain. The situation is different when it comes to the price. The flagship scooter is to be launched at an MSRP of 999.00 euros. That may be a sporty price, but in view of the technical features, it seems more than justified at this point. More info on the e-scooter is available on the official website.
