HONOR is causing a stir at MWC 2026 with a series of ambitious innovations. The focus is on the new Robot Phone, the foldable flagship Magic V6 and a humanoid robot for the consumer sector. With the so-called ALPHA PLAN, the manufacturer wants to herald the next evolutionary stage of AI-supported devices and more closely interlink hardware, software and robotics. The focus is clearly on augmented human intelligence – a technology that merges digital and physical interaction.
- Robot Phone with 4DoF gimbal, 200 MP camera and embodied AI interaction
- Magic V6 with 6,660 mAh silicon-carbon battery and Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5
- New silicon-carbon blade battery with 32% silicon content presented
- Expansion of the AI ecosystem with MagicPad 4 and MagicBook Pro 14
MWC 2026: HONOR Robot Phone puts embodied AI in motion
With the Robot Phone, HONOR is taking a radical step beyond traditional smartphone concepts. Instead of relying solely on touch and voice control, the device combines AI with physical movement. This is made possible by a specially developed micromotor system that integrates an ultra-compact 4DoF gimbal. This allows the smartphone to actively align its camera, follow movements and even react to interactions with gestures.
Technically, the Robot Phone relies on a 200-megapixel sensor combined with three-axis gimbal stabilization. Functions such as AI object tracking, “Super Steady Video” and AI SpinShot enable dynamic 90° and 180° rotations for cinematic shots. This creates a new quality, particularly in the area of video calls: the device follows movements automatically and reacts with animated body language such as nodding or shaking the head.
The multimodal perception allows the system to identify sounds, analyze movements and process visual contexts in real time. HONOR is thus positioning the Robot Phone as a bridge between smartphones and robotics – a concept that goes beyond pure software features and focuses on mechanical innovation.
HONOR Magic V6: Foldable flagship with high-end battery
At the same time, the HONOR Magic V6 sets new standards in the foldable segment. With a closed height of just 8.75 mm and IP68/IP69 certification, it combines robustness with a particularly slim design. At its heart is the fifth-generation silicon-carbon battery technology, which enables a 6,660 mAh battery in an ultra-thin housing – a remarkable value for foldable devices.
The hardware setup is complemented by dual LTPO 2.0 displays (6.52 inch outside, 7.95 inch inside) with adaptive 1-120 Hz and peak brightness of up to 6,000 nits. The reduced folded size and 4,320 Hz PWM dimming address typical foldable weaknesses such as visible creases and fatigue during prolonged use.
Powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, the Magic V6 promises flagship performance for gaming, multitasking and productive workloads. Optimized vapor chamber cooling is designed to ensure stable performance even under continuous load. Cross-ecosystem functions also enable collaboration with platforms such as Apple’s ecosystem – a strategic step towards more open device boundaries.
AI ecosystem and humanoid robotics
In addition to smartphones, HONOR is expanding its portfolio with the MagicPad 4 and the MagicBook Pro 14. The tablet is based on Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, a 3K OLED display with 165 Hz and AI-supported multitasking functions. The notebook uses Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors and is aimed at computing-intensive applications in creative and professional environments.
However, the company’s first humanoid robot attracted particular attention. In the future, it will be used in scenarios such as shopping assistance, workplace inspections and supportive assistance. HONOR is using its experience from the smartphone ecosystem to enable personalized interactions and seamless device integration.
The strategy behind this is clear: AI should not only react digitally, but also act physically and provide situational support – an approach that could integrate robotics more strongly into the consumer market.
Conclusion
MWC 2026 marks a strategic turning point for HONOR. With the Robot Phone and the Magic V6, the company is demonstrating both mechanical innovation and advances in battery technology. While the Magic V6 is set to be released in selected markets in the second half of 2026, the MagicPad 4 will start at 599 euros. Prices for the Robot Phone have not yet been announced. The concepts presented seem technically ambitious, but appear plausible in the context of current development dynamics in the AI and foldable segment.
