Nanoleaf extends portfolio – lighting for every day!

The Canadian company Nanoleaf has brought out two new creations and wants to put every single day in the right light. Once the manufacturer has developed an intelligent light bulb and LED light strips.

Optimal illumination for every room!

The Essentials Bulb and the Essential Lightstrip are designed to provide the perfect light for every activity. The user has the choice between strong colors and white. Thanks to the so-called Circadian Lighting function, both products adjust their color temperature repeatedly throughout the day to complement natural daylight. A special feature is the adjustment, for example, if you come from a different country and the time difference has given you a JetLag, the user can set suitable schedules for you. Due to its unique shape (Rhombicosidodecahedron) the bulb is very elegant and does not necessarily need a lampshade. At the same time, it achieves the brightest white illumination in its broadest brightness spectrum in all color temperatures (2700 K to 6500 K). The average brightness of the Essentials Bulb ranges from 806 lumens to a maximum brightness of 1100 lumens. Nanoleaf’s Essential Lightstrip has four white LEDs per LED set, two warm and two cold. They are designed to provide the best lighting for the user’s everyday life. Features include 21 LED sets per meter, i.e. seven sets per 33 centimeters, and can be lengthened or shortened as desired. The limit here is a total length of ten meters to continue to achieve the best brightness. For the Lightstrips this is between 2000 and 2200 lumens.

Nanoleaf works with thread

The manufacturer Nanoleaf is one of the first to make products that work with a single thread. This means that only a border router is required for use. So the user does not need a hub or any other kind of connection bridge. The LED light strips can also be controlled with the Nanoleaf app, Google Assistant or the HomeKit app. A system update is also planned this month, which will bring some features. Among other things the music visualization, screen mirror and color scenes are planned.

Availability and price

Currently, both products are already available in Nanoleaf’s online store or in the Apple Store. The light bulb is said to be available here for 19.99 euros and the starter kit of the LED light strips for 49.99 euros. In December, both will also be available at the Bauhaus. Included in the scope of delivery is also a physical control unit for easy operation.
