Nanoleaf Lines: Indirectly illuminated LED light strips available for pre-order

As part of the announcement of the Elements series in wood look Nanoleaf already hinted at new LED light strips of the Lines series. Now, the new modular strips with intelligent Screen Mirror function have been officially unveiled, allowing for even more delicate designs.

Nanoleaf Lines with smart functions

The minimalist light strips also come with a modular design and can be aligned, mounted and easily expanded according to one’s preferences. Unlike the LED panels from Nanoleaf, however, the Lines emit their light indirectly to the rear, i.e. towards the wall. There, two customizable ARGB light zones are provided.

The transition between the colors and zones is smooth. There are 19 dynamic light scenes and seven rhythm scenes for visualizing music in real time. With the help of a scene generator within the Nanoleaf app, users can also create their own lighting scenes. Here, the 16 million colors can be selected and controlled in a color wheel, color slider or by hex code. In addition, control via voice assistant is possible.

Smart screen mirror function

The novel screen mirror function of the Nanoleaf Lines is also exciting. It allows the animations and displays on the PC monitor to be mirrored onto the LED light strips. Various lighting modes are available here, which respond to games or movies, for example.

In addition, the lines extend the thread ecosystem and act as thread border routers. This allows compatible devices, such as Nanoleaf Essentials light bulbs and light strips, to be controlled directly and reliably without the need for an additional hub.

Price and Availability

Nanoleaf offers the new Lines LED light strips as a starter kit consisting of 9 pieces. The manufacturer’s MSRP for this is 199.99 euros. Pre-ordering is now possible, and delivery is then scheduled for the end of November 2021.

The 15-piece pack is priced at 299.99 euros, and there is also an expansion pack that consists of 3 Nanoleaf Lines and is priced at 59.99 euros. In January 2022, the manufacturer also wants to offer alternative front panels, called Lines Skins, in the colors pink and black, which can simply be placed on the existing light strips to achieve an alternative look.
