Robot vacuum cleaners and wipers with an automatic cleaning station are incredibly practical. After all, you don’t have to take care of almost anything yourself. With the Narwal Freo, the relatively young manufacturer has now presented a new model that wants to take on the top dogs.
Narwal Freo: vacuuming and mopping robot with automatic cleaning station
Among the big names in the field of vacuuming and mopping robots, Narwal is currently still an unknown. However, with the vacuuming and mopping robot including automatic cleaning station called Narwal Freo, they want to take on the big names and compete against, for example, the Roborock S7 Pro Ultra or the outstanding Ecovacs Deebot X1 OMNI (our review).
The vacuuming and mopping robot comes with a cleaning station that not only picks up the collected dust and dirt, but also takes care of the mopping process. For example, the Freo is said to intelligently detect how dirty the mops are and automatically clean them in the station.
These are cleaned and mixed with “exactly the right amount of water with the scientifically determined amount of Narwal’s exclusive floor cleaner,” which is said to provide a particularly compelling cleaning experience.
Thanks to so-called DirtSense technology, the vacuuming and mopping robot is said to be able to independently sense how dirty your home is and determine on its own whether it’s time to clean or not.
Detection of floor coverings
Much more, the manufacturer promises that the Narwhal Freo can automatically adjust the pressure and humidity of the mops according to the floor coverings. This is said to prevent damage to the floor covering and optimize cleaning performance.
Added to this is corner-cleaning technology to remove dust and dirt from even the furthest corners. This can be switched on once a week, for example, or freely configured within the Narwal app.
Thanks to various sensors like TOF, infrared and many more, the Narwal Freo navigates reliably through the home and is also able to avoid obstacles. It also features a parental lock to prevent operation by children or pets.
480 ml is the capacity of the dust container, while the operating noise level is ideally quite low at 39 dB. The battery holds 5,200 mAh, and 3,000 PA of suction power and a 40-degree heat-drying mode that is supposed to kill even stubborn bacteria are also offered.
Price and Availability
The Narwhal Freo is currently sold exclusively in the U.S. via the manufacturer. It is unknown whether, when and at what price the vacuuming and mopping robot with automatic cleaning station will also come to Germany. The RRP is $1,299, which is even higher than the Ecovacs Deebot X1, which is priced at € 749.99 *.
