New Blade 17 from Razer comes to the market in seven versions

Razer has unveiled a new edition of its Blade 17. It has the Intel Tigerlake H45 processor and Nvidia GeForce RTX 3000 graphics cards on board.

Seven different versions

With the new edition of the Razer Blade 17, seven different versions come out. This should leave no wishes unfulfilled. Thus, the notebook is equipped with the Intel Tigerlake H56 processors and Nvidia Ampere graphics units. The RAM of the notebook can also be expanded in the future. As for the display, there are models with a 165 Hz IPS panel, with a Full HD 360 Hz display, a 4K screen with 120 Hz or a 240 Hz 1440p display.

The Razer Blade 17 is not only suitable as a gaming notebook, but also as a mobile workstation. All panels offer 17.3 inches, i.e. 43.9 cm, and thus enough space for working and gaming. The different panels are supported by an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060, RTX 3070 or RTX 3080 Mobile in the Razer Blade 17. The performance of the graphics cards is slightly below the desktop graphics cards. Thus, the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 Mobile is about as fast as the GeForce RTX 3070 desktop.

Intel’s Tigerlake H45 processors

The Razer Blade 17 can be equipped with two different processors, one with an Intel Core i7-11800H or the other with an Intel Core i9-11900H. Both processors have eight cores and 16 threads and a standard TDP of 45 watts. The Core i9-11900H can clock 200 MHz higher than the i7-11800H, and even 300 MHz in Turbo.

Expanding memory and RAM

All versions of the Razer Blade 17 have a 1-TByte NVMe SSD on board, which can be expanded by another plugged-in M.2 module. There is also 16 GB of dual-channel DDR4 RAM. This is also supposed to be expandable, which again speaks for plugged-in components in the notebook. The ports are the same in all models and versions. There are three USB-A ports (3.2 Gen2), two Thunderbolt 4 ports (USB-C), an HDMI 2.1, a 3.5 mm combo port for micro and audio, and an SD card reader.

In addition, there is wired 2.5 Gbit Ethernet, which can be connected via RJ45. Apart from that, the Blade 17 can also radio with Wi-Fi 6 through the Intel AX210 module.

Availabilities and pricing

The new versions of the Razer Blade 17 are available for pre-order now with prices starting at 2,600 euros.
