Xiaomi unveiled its new gaming monitor, the Mi 2K, alongside other innovations earlier this week. The monitor comes in at 27 inches diagonally and has a refresh rate of 165 Hz.
Xiaomi’s new monitor offers a QHD resolution on 27 inches, coming in at 2,560 x 1,440 pixels. The refresh rate of the IPS panel is 165 Hz and the input lag is 1 ms (IMBC) as well as 4 ms (GtG). Xiaomi specifies 8 bits for the color depth and up to 16.7 million colors are supposed to be displayed. The sRGB color space is covered by 100% and the DCI P3 color space by 95%. In terms of brightness, the Xiaomi Mi 2K reaches a maximum of up to 400 cd/m². Apart from that, the monitor also has a VESA DisplayHDR 400 certification.
The gaming monitor’s contrast ratio is 1,000:1, and TÜV Rheinland’s certificate confirms that the monitor is easy on users’ eyes with low blue light.
Connections and settings
In terms of connections, Xiaomi’s new gaming monitor offers a DisplayPort 1.4, an HDMI 2.0, a USB 3.0, a USB-IN and an audio port. The monitor is also height adjustable, tiltable as well as rotatable. The pivot function is also supported, as well as wall mounting via VESA bracket. The stand is included with the Xiaomi Mi 2K, as well as the power cable, a DisplayPort and a USB cable, and the screws needed for wall mounting.
Availability and pricing
It is still unclear when the Xiaomi Mi 2K will be available. That it is coming to Europe is revealed by the retail price of 499 euros.
