New headphones: Sennheiser HD 560S for music junkies

The new Sennheiser HD 560S offers a natural and precise sound, right down to the deepest basses. The headphones reveal every detail of a music title.

It is ideal for enthusiastic music fans who spend hours enjoying music and want to understand every detail. According to the slogan “Listen to music as it really is”.

The HD 560S is very light, with a weight of just 240 grams without cable, it is hardly noticeable.

Technical data

With a frequency range from 6 to 36,000 Hz, the headphones can display many details. At the same time, they are true to the signal and linear, so that the sound is reproduced exactly as it should sound. Thanks to the high sensitivity of 110 db/1V and the distortion factor of < 0.05 percent at 90 dB, the HD 560S offers high dynamics and clarity, even at higher sound pressure levels. The converters of the Sennheiser HD 560S enable accurate and reliable A/B comparisons of sources, mixes and media formats. With commercially available headphones, the sound image of a title is always adapted to the technical interpretation. This is different with Sennheiser, which plays a title as it actually is.

The open ear cups of the headphones provide natural sound wave propagation. The vented earcups remain cool when listening and do not even touch the user’s ears. A velour ear pad completely encloses the ears and offers very joyful long-term listening. The optimal listening position is created by the angled sound transducers, just like in a selected recording studio.

The Sennheiser HD 560S can be used with any audio source. A 3-meter cable with a 6.3 mm jack is included. Features include a 3.5 mm adapter with a 15 cm cable for flexibility.

Since music lovers frequent a wide variety of sources, Sennheiser has specially developed the voice coil to provide a lively and indescribable sound experience regardless of the playback medium.

Entrance headphones

The Sennheiser HD 560S were designed as entry-level headphones for music lovers. “Thanks to the linear acoustics, which are tailored to a sophisticated music assessment, higher listeners discover music unaltered from production to playback,” said Product Manager Jermo Köhnke from Sennheiser.

From 29 September 2020, the new Sennheiser HD 560S will be available at an RRP of 199 euros.
