Fans of minimalist tech products in particular are likely to enjoy the new color option.

Nothing Ear (Open) continue to focus on stylish open-ear design
With the Nothing Ear (Open), the manufacturer continues to pursue its characteristic design approach. The new open-ear headphones combine a transparent-inspired appearance with a lightweight earhook design that is specially designed for long usage sessions. Instead of sitting completely in the ear, the earbuds rest loosely on the ear. This means that ambient noise can still be heard, which is particularly advantageous in everyday life, during sports or on the go.
The new “Blue” color variant now brings additional style to the range. The light blue shade not only covers the earbuds themselves, but also the charging case. The technical features remain identical to the previous white version. Each earbud weighs just 8.1 grams and uses a dynamic 14.2 mm driver, which is designed to provide powerful sound and clear vocals.
The model is also equipped with modern connectivity. Bluetooth 5.3 ensures stable connections, while Google Fast Pair and Microsoft Swift Pair enable fast pairing with compatible devices. Bluetooth Multipoint also supports simultaneous connection with two devices. This is practical when switching between a smartphone and notebook, for example.
Nothing Ear (Open) offer long battery life and gaming features
In addition to the design, Nothing is also clearly aimed at users who expect versatile functions. The Nothing Ear (Open) support AAC and SBC codecs and can be customized via the Nothing-X app. Among other things, the equalizer can be configured there to adapt the sound to personal preferences.
The integrated low-latency mode is particularly interesting for gamers. This reduces the delay between picture and sound, improving the gaming experience on smartphones and tablets. The overall package is complemented by pinch gestures for control and an integrated ChatGPT function, which is already used in several Nothing products.
The battery life is also solid. According to the manufacturer, the earbuds achieve up to eight hours of music playback on one charge. Together with the charging case, up to 30 hours are possible. In initial tests, almost ten hours of runtime per charge were achieved in some cases. Fast charging is also supported: Just ten minutes of charging should provide enough energy for up to ten hours of use including the charging case.
Thanks to IP54 certification, the earbuds are also protected against dust and splash water, making them suitable for sporting activities. Both Android and iOS devices are supported.
Conclusion
With the new Blue Edition, the Nothing Ear (Open) bring visual variety to the existing line-up. The combination of a modern open-ear design, long battery life and smart additional functions continues to make the headphones an interesting alternative in the mid-range segment. The new color variant is already available in the official store and costs 99 euros in Germany.
