Details about the upcoming Nubia RedMagic 7 gaming smartphone are still scarce. However, a new teaser from the company reveals that the smartphone will be equipped with a dedicated gaming chip.
Nubia RedMagic 7 leak: smartphone with additional gaming chip
The successor of the ZTE Nubia Red Magic 6 is already in the starting blocks. According to current rumors, the new gaming smartphone Nubia RedMagic 7 will be released this month. The current SoC flagship from Qualcomm, namely the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, will probably serve as the basis.
However, it will be accompanied by an exciting co-processor, as can be seen in a new teaser from the manufacturer. With the Red Core 1, the smartphone comes with a dedicated gaming chip that is supposed to focus primarily on immersion when gaming.
Thus, the chip is not supposed to improve the graphics performance, but optimize sound, lighting, vibration and touch inputs in gaming mode, as it is said. What that means in concrete terms, however, is still unclear at the moment.
Nubia RedMagic 7: What we know so far
Further details about the Nubia RedMagic 7 are scarce so far, though. The new gaming smartphone is expected to be unveiled to the public soon and released before the end of February 2022. The RedMagic7 was first spotted on the Chinese certification platform TENAA in early January.
Current rumors on the part of GizmoChina speak of a 6.8-inch (170.57 mm x 78.33 mm x 9.5 mm) smartphone weighing 215 grams and equipped with a 4,500 mAh battery. This is said to be able to be fast-charged with up to 165 watts. The resolution is said to be 2,400 x 1,080 pixels, while the frame rate is a maximum of 165 Hz.
Three cameras are said to be installed on the back, while the main camera is supposed to rely on a 64-megapixel sensor. There is also talk of 16 GB LPDDR5 RAM and up to 512 GB system storage. However, all information should be taken with a grain of salt at the moment. According to the teasers, the Nubia RedMagic 7 will be unveiled on February 17.
