Nuki Smart Door: Smart door for new buildings to be released in autumn

Until now, the Austrian manufacturer Nuki has focused on smart retrofit solutions for existing doors and has become the market leader in this field. With the new Smart Door, they are now realizing a smart door for new buildings.

Nuki Smart Door is integrated directly into door

With the Smart Lock or Intercom Opener Nuki could already convince retrofitters. The newly presented Smart Door, on the other hand, is aimed directly at new buildings and renovation projects, because the smart technology is integrated directly into the door here.

For this purpose, the company has teamed up with the German company SIEGENIA to create a complete solution for the basis of a smart door in combination with their multi-point locking system KFV GENIUS and the Nuki Button.

Said button including LED ring is installed directly on the inside of the door and forms the connection to the entire Nuki ecosystem. The Nuki Button is installed directly into the door together with the KFV GENIUS, which is why only minimal adjustments should be necessary even for existing door systems.

Due to the modular design, even small carpentry and metal construction companies are able to offer a Smart Door. Even special one-off designs by craftsmen are possible. The only requirement is the availability of electricity near the door.

All Nuki advantages directly in the door

Thereby, the high-quality entrance door features all possibilities of the Nuki Smart Lock like the smartphone-controlled locking. The door is opened via Nuki App, Smart Watch or automatically when approached.

Access authorizations can be set conveniently via app and even permanently or only for a certain period of time. Thanks to the integrated WLAN bridge, the door can even be operated remotely, while locking operations can be logged in the app if desired.

Availability

The Nuki Smart Door, consisting of the Nuki Button and KFV GENIUS, is expected to be available initially from select partners in the fall of 2021. More details can be found directly on the manufacturer’s homepage.
