The OnePlus 10 Pro has finally been officially unveiled. In China, the Android flagship smartphone will be available for sale as early as January 13. As expected, the smartphone relies on Qualcomm’s brand-new Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC, which enables significantly higher speeds than the current top model Snapdragon 888 (+).

The chip is composed of a total of eight cores:

  • 3x Kryo Gold (2.50 GHz)
  • 4x Kryo Silver (1.80 GHz)

120 Hz QHD+ display with 6.7-inch diagonal

When it comes to the display, the OnePlus 10 Pro relies on a 6.7-inch LTPO AMOLED display with HDR10+, which allows a dynamic refresh rate of 1 Hz to 120 Hz. The smartphone’s display edges are rounded and a screen-to-body ratio of 92.7% is achieved. The display is protected by particularly robust Corning Gorilla Glass Victus.

The resolution is 3216 x 1440 pixels (QHD+), which results in a remarkable pixel density of 525 PPI. According to the manufacturer, the maximum brightness is a whopping 1,300 nits, while the contrast ratio is 5,000,000:1. The capacitive touchscreen has a sampling rate of 360 Hz.

New Hasselblad camera in the OnePlus 10 Pro

Android and OnePlus fans were most excited about the smartphone’s new camera system, however. After the cooperation with Hasselblad last year was only based on a changed color scheme, the new Hasselblad camera in the OnePlus 10 Pro is now also supposed to improve noticeably in terms of technology.

A 32-megapixel front-facing camera is located in the upper left corner of the display. OnePlus relies on Sony’s IMX615 sensor. The 10 Pro relies on a triple camera system on the rear. The manufacturer installs a 48-megapixel, 1/1.43-inch Sony IMX789 with OIS in the main camera.

It is supported by a 50-megapixel ISOCELL JN1 as an ultra-wide-angle camera with 150-degree field of view, as well as an 8-megapixel OmniVision OV08A19 telephoto lens with OIS and 3.3x optical zoom.
