OnePlus 10 Pro release in March? OnePlus North CE 2 5G also planned

OnePlus’ top smartphone model, which was only recently unveiled in China, might come to Europe earlier than expected. According to a report, the OnePlus 10 Pro release could happen as early as March 2022. At the same time, the flagship could have the OnePlus Nord CE 2 5G in tow.

OnePlus 10 Pro release: starting in March in Europe?

The flagship Android smartphone OnePlus 10 Pro has just been unveiled in China and could soon find its way to Europe. According to a report from 91Mobiles, the global OnePlus 10 Pro release is expected to happen as early as March 2022.

According to leaker Yogesh Brar, the smartphone is currently already undergoing internal testing in Europe and India, which points to an imminent release. This should allow for a mid- or late-March launch. That would fit: The predecessor OnePlus 9 Pro landed in German stores on March 31, 2021.

OnePlus 10 Pro will be a big seller

The OnePlus 10 Pro has had an extremely successful launch in China. As the manufacturer announced on the Chinese social network Weibo, the new top model sold in just one second with a value of over 100 million yuan (equivalent to around 13.83 million euros) – which probably corresponds to the pre-orders.

This is also likely related to the smartphone’s strong features. The 10 Pro offers a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC from Qualcomm with 8 GB or 12 GB of RAM, as well as a 6.7-inch LTPO AMOLED display with HDR10+ and 120 Hz frame rate. The 5,000 mAh battery and the strong triple camera setup, which was created together with Hasselblad, are also well received by customers.

OnePlus North CE 2 5G: mid-range smartphone still in February?

Furthermore, the leak reports another smartphone from the manufacturer, but this one is in the mid-range. The OnePlus Nord CE 2 5G is said to succeed the first-generation smartphone released last year, which was positioned below the OnePlus Nord 2 (our review), as early as February 2022.

According to rumors, the OnePlus Nord CE 2 5G will rely on a 6.4-inch AMOLED display with 90 hertz refresh rate and will be equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 900 5G chip, as well as up to 8 GB of RAM and 128/256 GB of storage.

On the back, there’s a three-camera setup consisting of a 64-megapixel main camera, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide and a 2-megapixel macro lens. A 16-megapixel selfie camera is supposed to be used at the front.

OxygenOS 12 based on Android 12 is supposed to be offered ex-factory. In addition, the OnePlus Nord CE 2 5G has a 4,500 mAh battery that can be charged quickly with 65 watts. 5G, 4G LTE, dual SIM, a microSD slot, GPS, NFC and a USB Type-C port are supposed to round off the features.

However, concrete prices for the OnePlus 10 Pro and OnePlus Nord CE 2 5G are not yet known. The leak about the release date should also be taken with a grain of salt.
