Details come during Samsung’s “Unpacked events”
The timing of the announcement of OnePlus latest device could not be more explosive. For instance, the company wants to unveil a planned smartphone that will open the door for the dual-display device division. Samsung itself has already been active in this segment for quite some time with its Galaxy Z Fold. What exactly OnePlus is planning is supposed to be released to the public at the same time as Samsung’s presentation. In any case, we are already curious about the details!
Competition for Samsung
Samsung itself will certainly not be happy about OnePlus’ plans. After all, the South Koreans will be at least a little out of the spotlight due to the simultaneous presentation of OnePlus. Since devices like the Galaxy Z Fold have only been genuine niche products so far, it remains to be seen to what extent OnePlus wants to make its equivalent to the Fold suitable for the mass market. So far, we can only speculate based on a picture. OnePlus has only posted a picture with reference to the new smartphone. On it, we can clearly see that it is a dual-screen device. However, details will not be announced until 4 p.m. today. If the planned smartphone turns out to be anything but promising, OnePlus could at least disrupt the competitor Samsung’s media appearance a bit.
