OnePlus introduces new smartphone – OnePlus North CE 5G

Global mobile technology provider OnePlus has unveiled a new smartphone. The OnePlus North CE 5G complements the existing OnePlus North product line and comes with powerful features for everyday use.

Powerful everyday companion

The display of the OnePlus Nord CE 5G comes with a 6.43-inch AMOLED display that offers HDR+ and 90 Hz. This ensures a pleasant and immersive viewing experience as well as vivid colors. Thereby, the smartphone is equipped with a powerful Snapdragon 750G 5G processor. With the Kryo 570 CPU and Adreno 619 GPU, the Nord CE offers a 20 percent CPU boost and ten percent GPU boost compared to its predecessor. A smooth and intuitive experience is provided by the advanced AI engine in the smartphone.

The Warp Charge 30T Plus has been improved, with OxygenOS 11 pre-installed for a fast and smooth user experience. OxygenOS 11 is OnePlus’ most responsive and fastest software to date. It offers significant improvements, such as the Dark Mode feature, an Always On Display (AOD) and the Zen Mode. With the new better-positioned touch controls and design, the feel has been improved even further.

As for the battery, OnePlus has installed a 4,500 mAh battery, which is 10 percent larger than in the OnePlus North. The battery is charged from 0 to 70 percent within half an hour via the Warp Charge 30T Plus charging technology. Overall, the Nord CE comes to a thickness of 7.9 mm, with a weight of 170 grams.

First-class components

The OnePlus Nord CE 5G features a triple camera on the back and a 64 MP main camera, which has an f/1.79 aperture. So, the user gets crisp and high-resolution images that captures every detail even in bright lighting conditions. For more versatility, it also has a 119° ultra-wide-angle lens. The front-facing camera is just right for taking selfies with its 16 MP. For better shots, the Nord CE has Nightscape on board so that the pictures are good even in low light. The Nightscape feature can take up to eight shots at night, stitching them together and using different exposures. This makes the images bright and clear.

Availability and prices

The new smartphone from OnePlus is available now in Blue Void, Silver Ray and Charcoal Ink at a price of 299 euros with 6 GB/128 GB. For the version with 8 GB and 128 GB storage, 329 euros are due and for 12 GB/256 GB, 399 euros have to be paid. As usual for OnePlus, there are two years of software updates and three years of security updates.
