Two weeks after the first teaser, the Oppo A95 has finally been fully unveiled. In the mid-range, the up-and-coming smartphone manufacturer relies on a Snapdragon 662 SoC, a 5,000 mAh battery and a 48-megapixel main camera.
Oppo A95: All the specs of the new smartphone
The Oppo A95 wants to convince in the smartphone mid-range with strong specs at a fair price. Thus, the device relies on a 6.43-inch AMOLED display with a 90.8% screen-to-body ration and a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels. The frame rate is 60 Hz, the touch rate is at least 135 Hz, or 180 Hz in gaming mode.
Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 662 is used as the SoC, which is supported by 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage. Commendable: A storage expansion via microSD card is also possible. The Oppo A95 is pocket-friendly with a width of 7.95 mm and a weight of 175 grams.
An in-display fingerprint sensor and a 5,000 mAh battery including 33-watt fast charging technology skillfully round out the features. The battery can thus be fully charged to 54 percent in 30 minutes.
The cameras of the Oppo A95
When it comes to the camera setup, Oppo relies on a 16-megapixel selfiecam that takes up space in a punch hole on the top left. On the back, the Oppo A95 relies on a triple-camera setup that consists of a 48-megapixel main camera and two 2-megapixel sensors for depth imaging and macro shots.
A dedicated night mode, AI image enhancement and various filters are supposed to further increase the image quality. ColorOS 11.1 based on Android 11 is used as the operating system.
Price and availability
The Oppo A95 will initially launch in Malaysia for the equivalent of around 229 euros. It is currently unclear if and when the smartphone will also be offered in this country.
