Manufacturer Phanteks has announced the launch of the Eclipse P500A midi tower and the new SK-PWM fans. It represents the continuation of the high-performance Eclipse housing series. The new Eclipse P500A Midi-Tower offers a wide range of high-end functions, a modular interior and good cooling characteristics. Meanwhile, the new SK series of case fans provide high airflow and are available in two sizes, with and without addressable RGB lighting.
Phanteks Eclipse P500A: Features of the Midi Tower
The front panel of the Phanteks Eclipse P500A is made of 1mm ultra-fine performance mesh. This ensures unobstructed airflow, while the panel acts as a dust filter and eye-catcher. The Midi-Tower is designed for mainboards up to E-ATX. The interior is characterized by stackable and modular drive cages, which allows up to ten 3.5-inch HDDs and three 2.5-inch SSDs to be installed with accessories.
With the help of an optional bracket, even a second system can be installed. The spacious interior layout naturally offers space for powerful cooling solutions – CPU coolers can be up to 190 mm high, while radiators can be up to 420 mm high. Up to seven fans (at a size of 120 mm) can be accommodated here, with two 140 mm fans already pre-installed. Graphics cards can be up to 435 mm long and can alternatively be used vertically. The swinging side door is made of tempered glass and allows a view of all components.
The Eclipse P500A Midi-Tower is also available in a version with RGB LED lighting. In this case, three addressable 140 mm RGB fans are already pre-installed. The case in question then has an RGB LED controller with which it is possible to control the RGB fans and the light strip above the power supply cover. Two switches on the I/O panel of the Eclipse P500A are provided for this purpose.
Phantek’s SK-PWM fans: New SK series case fans
The new Phanteks SK-PWM fans are optimized for high airflow. They are controlled via PWM signal. The SK housing fans are available in 120 mm and 140 mm sizes. Without RGB lighting they are available individually in black. As D-RGB fans they have a black frame and white air blades. With the Y-crossover integrated in the RGB signal cable, the lighting can be connected in series without any additional cables.
Phanteks Eclipse P500A and SK-PWM fans: Prices and availability
The Phanteks Eclipse P500A Midi Tower is available immediately for 99.90 Euro and as a D-RGB version for 129.90 Euro. The Midi-Tower is expected to be available for pre-order from July 27, 2020. The Phanteks SK-PMW fans can be pre-ordered immediately in 120 mm size for 7.90 Euro and for 8.90 Euro in 140 mm size. The SK-PMW D-RGB fans can be pre-ordered in 120 mm size for 12.90 Euro and for 14.90 Euro in 140 mm size individually or for 34.90 Euro (120 mm) and for 39.90 Euro (140 mm) in a 3-pack. These should be available from 20 July 2020.
