Phanteks has made some exciting new announcements. With the new Eclipse P600s and Evolv X in the Matte White Edition, two new chic cases in a noble white tone are coming to retail. The hardware expert has also announced matching cables with its Gen 4 PCIe riser cables.
Evolv X & Eclipse P600S Matte White Edition
The two presented mid-tower cases can turn a PC setup into a real eye-catcher with their classy matte white. But obviously the inner values seem to be right as well. Thus, Phanteks relies on dual-system features, massive space for memory as well as water cooling support. In the Evolv X, Phanteks relies on a combination of 3 mm thick aluminum walls and a hinged wall made of tempered glass.
This not only allows insights, but on top of that, it is supposed to facilitate the installation and removal of elements. To ensure good airflow, the hardware manufacturer has also designed the case in such a way that the components always have sufficient distance to each other. Mesh elements are also designed to further optimize airflow.
With the P600, Phanteks probably wanted to create a case that scores with low operating noise despite powerful components. The almost silent operation should not come by chance. After all, the manufacturer installs a special sound insulation panel here. In combination with Phanteks’ self-developed High Airflow fabric, the perfect compromise between powerful cooling and quiet operating volume is supposed to be achieved.
Only a practical test will show whether this goal is feasible. Furthermore, Phanteks promises flexible installation options here. No matter if water cooling or even dual system PC. The P600 should be able to do almost everything. To accomplish this, the manufacturer says it relies on an “effective interior design”.
Tailored fans
To go with the two new cases, Phanteks also has new fans in the pipeline that speak the same design language. Fans of the renowned hardware manufacturer should already be familiar with the SK fans from other cases. For example, they were used in the successful Eclipse P400A. Since their release, experts have regularly praised them for their cooling performance.
However, they obviously prove in the SK PWM D-RGB White version that they can not only provide decent wind, but also look chic. Thanks to integrated PWM features, the white fans can also be regulated in their speed, according to Phanteks, and thus be adjusted quite individually.
New cables along with GPU mount
Furthermore, Phanteks has announced new accessories. First, there’s the new Gen4 vertical GPU mount. This is supposed to allow vertical placement of any graphics card without sacrificing the speed benefits of a Gen4 connection. The hardware expert has designed the mount specifically for the P300A, P360A and P400A cases. However, according to the manufacturer, the bracket is not only exclusive to in-house cases, but can also be installed in any other ATX case thanks to simple modification.
The whole thing is particularly exciting in combination with the new cables that Phanteks now wants to launch. Thus, the manufacturer includes a 220 mm long PCIe Gen4 x16 riser cable with its GPU bracket. This ensures that full speed is guaranteed with every Gen4 GPU. Also included are the Flat Line PCIe Gen4 x16 riser cables.
These come in a special dual-layer design and are thus supposed to be a guarantee for lossless and particularly fast data transfer. The Flat Line riser cables will be available in lengths of 150 mm, 220 mm and 300 mm.
