With the new Philips 16B1P3302, you can expect a portable 15.6-inch display that comes with a Full HD resolution and connects via USB-C.
The Philips 16B1P3302 in detail
According to the manufacturer, the new Philips 16B1P3302 monitor is primarily aimed at business users who want to work flexibly on the go. A dual-USB mesh cable with DisplayLink enables sharing and presenting, as well as running a dual-screen workstation to boost productivity on the go.
Thanks to the continuously tiltable stand, the display can be tilted from 0 to 90 degrees for flexible use. “Thanks to the EasyRead mode, you can read like on paper,” Philips promises on the product website. A LowBlue mode and FlickerFree technology also prevent eye fatigue.
From a purely technical standpoint, the 16B1P3302 relies on a 15.6-inch IPS display with W-LED backlighting and a correspondingly large viewing angle of 178/178 degrees. It resolves in Full HD (1,920 x 1,080 pixels) and offers a refresh rate of 75 Hz. The maximum brightness is 250 c/m², the typical contrast is 700:1, but it can even increase to 50,000,000:1 thanks to SmartContrast.
In addition, the monitor features Philips’ proprietary SmartImage image optimization, which analyzes displayed image content to guarantee you optimal display performance. The user-friendly interface offers a choice of numerous modes for office, photos, movies, gaming, power saving and more, optimizing contrast, color saturation and sharpness of images and videos therein.
Gray-to-gray response time is 4 milliseconds, while 64 percent of the sRGB color spectrum is covered. The image is displayed via a USB-C to USB-A cable, which can also be used to charge the monitor directly from the laptop.
Price and Availability
The Philips 16B1P3302 portable monitor should still be available in stores in July 2022. In terms of price, the manufacturer calls a recommended retail price of 309 euros.
Those who want a higher resolution and more details can take a look at the LC Power LC-M16-4K-UHD-P-OLED, which we recently reviewed. It offers more ports, a faster response time, and 4K resolution on a 15.6-inch screen diagonal. The LC Power costs 699 euros.
