  • New OLED, RGB Mini-LED and QLED models with Ambilight
  • 7th and 10th generation P5 AI image processor for optimized picture quality
  • AmbiScape extends Ambilight to smart lamps in the room
  • HDR10+ Gaming, 165 Hz VRR and HDMI 2.1 for modern gaming features

Philips Ambilight TV 2026 relies on OLED, Mini-LED and QLED with AI Boost

The new Philips Ambilight TV generation 2026 covers a wide range of technologies and price categories. The focus is on OLED models such as the OLED811 and OLED761, which boast improved panels and more powerful picture processors. The OLED811 relies on OLED_EX technology and achieves a peak brightness of up to 2,500 nits, while the 10th generation of the P5 AI processor ensures optimized HDR tone mapping and more precise contrasts.

A new generation of dynamic HDR processing is also used with Dolby Vision 2 MAX. This automatically adapts content to the environment and the respective display, allowing both dark scenes and bright highlights to be shown in greater detail. This is complemented by functions such as Authentic Motion, which makes movements appear more natural and is particularly beneficial for films and sports broadcasts.

Improvements have also been made in the audio area. New speaker concepts with more compact drivers enable slimmer designs without compromising on sound quality. Depending on the model, different sound solutions are used, ranging from classic stereo systems to powerful 4.1 setups.

In addition to OLED, Philips is expanding its portfolio with an RGB mini-LED model for the first time. With over 11,000 dimming zones, the MLED981 offers precise backlighting and significantly reduces typical halo effects. At the same time, the panel achieves high brightness values and is particularly suitable for bright environments.

Ambilight, AmbiScape and gaming in the focus of the new generation

The three-sided Ambilight, which is integrated into all new series, remains a central element. The AmbiScape function further enhances the effect: up to four smart lamps can be synchronized, allowing the entire room to be included in the visual experience. The color changes take place almost in real time and ensure a much more intense immersion – especially for films, series and games.

Gamers also benefit from the new features. The new models support HDR10+ Gaming, FreeSync Premium and G-Sync and offer refresh rates of up to 165 Hz, depending on the series. Functions such as Game Bar and automatic profile recognition enable individual adjustment of the settings. Thanks to modern chipsets, several HDMI 2.1 connections with high bandwidth are also available.

Titan OS is used as the smart TV platform, which offers access to popular streaming services and also supports smart home standards such as Matter, Alexa and Apple AirPlay 2. This allows the TVs to be seamlessly integrated into existing systems.

With the PQS9001 series (“The One”), Philips is also targeting users who are looking for a balanced overall package. The models combine solid performance with modern features and, for the first time, are also available in sizes up to 100 inches – a clear signal of the trend towards ever larger displays in the living room.

Conclusion

The Philips Ambilight TV generation 2026 shows clear further development in almost all areas. Improved picture technologies, powerful gaming features and the integration of AmbiScape make the new models more versatile than ever. Prices vary depending on the model and size, the market launch will start in June 2026 with further variants in the course of the year.
