Philips Hue presents the Philips Hue Sync TV app for Samsung Smart TVs

Signify has introduced the new Philips Hue Sync TV app, available exclusively for Samsung Smart TVs. It allows lighting to seamlessly sync with the TV picture, so it can glow with the image from movies, series or games.

The new Philips Hue Sync TV app syncs Philips Hue smart lights with anything on the Samsung TV. All content such as movies, series or games are supported – including seamless integration with apps such as Netflix or Disney+. The app supports all picture formats including 8K, 4K and HDR 10+.

“We are excited to offer users* around the world a new way of surround lighting that makes the TV experience even more immersive,” said Jasper Vervoort, Business Leader Philips Hue at Signify.

Various customization options are offered. For example, the intensity of the synchronization can be adjusted, the brightness of the lamps can be adjusted, choose between video and gaming mode or activate an automatic start.

The mobile app can also be used to define an entertainment area in which light points can be selected and positioned in relation to the TV using drag & drop to create the best possible lighting experience.

The Philips Hue Sync TV app is compatible with 2022 Samsung QLED TVs (Q60 model and above). Via the Samsung TV App Store, the paid app can be easily downloaded to the respective TV. It marks the next step after the lights have already been able to be integrated into Corsair’s ecosystem since September.

But the Philips Hue Sync TV app isn’t Signify’s only new addition to the Philips Hue lineup. It’s joined, for example, by the new Philips Hue Resonate Downward Wall Light, which features a combination of elegant black design and warm white to colored light.

The wall light can add color to porches and patios as well as provide a warm welcome when placed near the front door. With the included clip, the light’s beam can be narrowed to maintain its pyramid-like shape even on narrow walls and columns.

Also new is the Philips Hue Tap Dial switch with a new round mount that marks an alternative to the previous square wall mount. The mini mount, on the other hand, is smaller than the standard mount and can be mounted anywhere you want it. And not only on a wall, but also on other surfaces, as well as cabinets, if you wish, thanks to magnetic attachment.

A new product was announced last year, and now it’s about to hit the market. The portable table lamp Philips Hue Go Portable, which is suitable for reading in bed or eating on the terrace, for example, will also be available in Germany from February 21, 2023. On the homepage of the manufacturer you get more details about the product news.
