Philips presents new Evnia models

Philips is expanding its fledgling Evnia lineup with the addition of two models, the 25M2N3200W and 25M2N5200P, which are said to boast refresh rates of 240 and 280 Hz, respectively.

Ultra-fast refresh rates

The refresh rates of 240 Hz (25M2N3200W) and 280 Hz (25M2N5200P) are the main selling point of the two new gaming monitors. Thanks to them, images are supposed to run smoothly even in the fastest of events – which is essential for ambitious gamers. Both the Fast VA panel of the 25M2N3200W and the Fast IPS panel of the 25M2N5200P feature a pixel response time of only 1 ms GtG, which also contributes to the smooth playback. A low input lag rounds out the package in this regard.

But the two new monitors aren’t just supposed to be fast, they’re also supposed to deliver razor-sharp images. Both have a resolution of FullHD with a 16:9 aspect ratio and offer a viewing angle of 178 degrees. Also included are a LowBlue mode and Flicker-Free technology, which are supposed to prevent eye fatigue during longer sessions. Furthermore, thanks to the Compact Ergo stand, both monitors can be tilted, swiveled and adjusted in height. They thus offer all the basic ergonomic functions of modern PC monitors.

The 25M2N5200P also features a USB hub and a range of practical on-screen display functions such as MBR Sync, DarkBoost and Smart Crosshair. Xeni Bairaktari, global marketing lead of Philips’ monitor division, is overall confident about its new products, saying, “Both the Philips Evnia 25M2N3200W and the Philips Evnia 25M2N5200P offer everything gamers are looking for – be it in terms of speed, visual performance or ergonomic comfort.”

Pricing and Availability

Both models in the young gaming series will be available in mid-May. Prices are €219 for the 25M2N5200P model and €309 for the 25M2N3200W model.
