Philips Skylight relies on intelligent lighting control and new VitaUp technology
A central feature of the new product range is the automatic adjustment of brightness and light color during the course of the day. Supported by special BioUp LEDs, Philips Skylight changes the light characteristics depending on the time of day. During the day, a brighter, slightly blue-enriched light is produced, while warmer color tones create a more relaxed atmosphere in the evening.
This adjustment is based on the latest findings on circadian stimulation, which investigates the influence of light on the human biorhythm. In addition, five preset light scenes are available to support concentrated work in the home office or a cozy evening atmosphere, for example.
The new Philips Skylight VitaUp models are particularly interesting. These also have an integrated UV-B module that can promote the body’s natural vitamin D production. As UV-B radiation has special safety requirements, Signify has integrated various protective mechanisms. These include automatic switch-off after eight hours and control via a remote control supplied.
The product family includes the Philips Skylight Medium and Philips Skylight Large models as well as the corresponding VitaUp variants. All versions have a remote control, automatic light adjustment, five light scenes and an IP44 protection rating, making them suitable for bathrooms and other damp environments.
