The Google Pixel 7 Pro is still one of the best Android smartphones on the market. However, the problems with the Google smartphone are increasing. After broken camera glass and dropping volume rocker, the smartphones also suffer from a software-side scrolling problem, which the manufacturer is now declaring war on.
Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro: Google tackles scrolling problem
The Google Pixel 7 Pro (our review) and Pixel 7 suffer from a scrolling problem that manifests itself by displaying content jerkily and not smoothly when scrolling – for example through long texts or websites.
Unlike the other issues with the smartphones, however, this appears to be a software-side problem that may be relatively easy to fix. Google’s own Issue Tracker has in any case recognized the problem and it is supposed to be fixed with an upcoming update of the operating software.
When exactly it will be so far, however, is currently still unclear. It is possible that the patch will come with the big feature drop, which is scheduled for March 2023.
According to a report on Reddit, the problem has already been fixed with the current beta update of the Android user interface (QPR2 Beta 1), which is why users there also assume that the Pixel 7 Pro and Pixel 7 scrolling problem will be fixed in the big March update.
