About a month before the official Made by Google event, details about the most important new products are already leaking out: After render images of the Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, and Pixel 11 Pro Fold recently surfaced, the Pixel Watch 5 is now also appearing in official press photos.
Four new color options unveiled
The images show the smartwatch for the first time in all four color variants: Dark Anthracite (black), Natural Silver, Pyrite (a dark gold shade), and Warm Gold. The colors clearly harmonize with the new Pixel 11 color palette. So far, only one view of each color is available; the side with the charging contacts is not yet visible.
Design remains largely unchanged
The exterior design has hardly changed from the Pixel Watch 4. In 2026, the smartwatch will again be available in 41 mm and 45 mm case sizes, each with and without LTE connectivity. An earlier price leak had already revealed the European prices—the smaller model, in particular, is expected to become more expensive this year.
Snapdragon Wear Elite as the most significant upgrade
According to a certification that was leaked in advance, NFC, GPS, and UWB are still on board, so there appear to be hardly any changes in terms of connectivity. The most significant upgrade is likely to be the new Snapdragon Wear Elite chip, which promises more performance with better efficiency. Whether there will also be new features in the sensor suite remains to be seen until the official launch. The Pixel Watch 5 will launch alongside the Pixel 11 series on August 12.
The new smartphones are expected to feature the Tensor G6, manufactured using a 2-nm process, and thus hit the market ahead of competing chips such as the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 or Apple’s A20.
