Sony is further expanding its accessory ecosystem for the PlayStation 5 and is launching three new products on the market in 2026. The focus is on the FlexStrike Wireless Fight Stick, an arcade controller specially developed for competitive gaming, a new 27-inch gaming monitor with DualSense Charging Hook and the upcoming Pulse Elevate Wireless Speakers. The new hardware is clearly aimed at gamers who want to expand their setup beyond the classic living room and rely on powerful, specially tuned peripherals.

  • FlexStrike Wireless Fight Stick launches worldwide on August 6, 2026
  • 27-inch QHD gaming monitor to be released in the USA and Japan on August 27
  • Pulse Elevate Wireless Speakers to follow later in the year
  • Accessories specially optimized for PS5 and PC gaming

FlexStrike Wireless Fight Stick brings tournament feeling to PS5 and PC

With the FlexStrike Wireless Fight Stick, Sony is entering the wireless fight stick market for the first time, responding to the growing fighting game community around modern titles and e-sports tournaments. The launch on August 6, 2026 is strategically timed to coincide with the release of MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls.

The controller was specifically designed for mobile competitive use. An integrated rechargeable battery and an included sling carrying case make the device ideal for tournaments, LAN events or spontaneous sessions outside of the home setup.

In terms of price, Sony has clearly positioned the Fight Stick in the premium segment at 199.99 euros, but this is at a standard market level for high-quality arcade hardware. The pricing seems plausible in view of the wireless functionality and PlayStation integration.

Support for PS5 and PC makes the FlexStrike versatile. The device is likely to meet with great interest, especially in the fighting game sector, where low input latency and precise control are crucial. Pre-orders will start on June 12, 2026 in numerous European markets, including Germany, Austria and France.

Sony is thus sensibly expanding its range of accessories to include a previously missing category and is targeting ambitious gamers who rely on specialized input devices.

The new 27-inch gaming monitor is a useful addition to the PlayStation ecosystem

Alongside the Fight Stick, Sony is launching the new 27-inch gaming monitor with DualSense Charging Hook on August 27, 2026. The device is initially only available in the USA and Japan and is aimed at desktop setups.

Technically, the monitor offers a 27-inch QHD IPS panel with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels. Variable refresh rates and up to 120 Hz are supported on the PS5 and PS5 Pro. Even up to 240 Hz is possible on compatible PCs or Macs.

The integration of the DualSense Charging Hook is an interesting unique selling point. This allows the controller to be charged directly on the monitor, which reduces the space required on the desk and elegantly integrates the accessory into the setup.

With a recommended retail price of 349.99 US dollars, the monitor is in the competitive range for gaming displays with these specifications. The combination of QHD resolution, high frame rate and PlayStation-specific optimization makes the model particularly attractive for users who deliberately play outside the classic TV setup.

The portfolio will be complemented later in the year by the Pulse Elevate Wireless Speakers. These are intended to transfer the audio technologies of the Pulse Explore and Pulse Elite series to desktop speakers. Although price details are still missing, the positioning as a suitable audio partner for the new gaming monitor seems logical.

Conclusion

With the FlexStrike Wireless Fight Stick, the 27-inch gaming monitor and the Pulse Elevate Wireless Speakers, Sony is adding exciting new components to its PlayStation accessories. The Fight Stick in particular is likely to meet with great interest in the fighting game segment. The monitor will initially be launched in selected markets on August 27, while the speakers will follow later in the year. The new accessories are priced at a high end, but in line with the market.
