POCO is launching two new smartphones in Germany—the POCO X8 and the POCO C95 Pro—starting October 1, 2026. The POCO X8, equipped with an 8,340-mAh battery, a Snapdragon 6s Gen 4, and a 1.5K AMOLED display, is aimed at anyone who rarely wants to plug in a charging cable, while the POCO C95 Pro, as an entry-level device with a 7,500-mAh battery and a large 6.9-inch display, is primarily designed for streaming and scrolling. We’ll summarize what both models can do, how much they cost, and what launch promotions are available.

TL;DR: The POCO X8 (starting at 399.90 euros) is a mid-range phone with a massive battery, IP69 certification, and a Snapdragon 6s Gen 4. The POCO C95 Pro (starting at 279.90 euros) is the entry-level model with a 7,500 mAh battery and a 120 Hz display. From October 1 through 7, both devices are available at a discount plus a free gift of your choice.

POCO X8: large battery, bright display, rugged design

The POCO X8 continues the X series and packs an 8,340-mAh battery into its body—according to POCO, that’s 63.2 percent more capacity than its predecessor. That should provide over two days of battery life on a single charge. After 1,600 charge cycles, the battery is expected to retain 80 percent of its original capacity—equivalent to about six years of everyday use—as confirmed by the TÜV SÜD 5-star certification for battery performance. Charging is handled via 67-watt HyperCharge; in addition, the smartphone can also provide wired power to other devices via 22.5-watt reverse charging.

For the screen, POCO features a 6.83-inch 1.5K Ultra-Bright display with up to 3,500 nits of peak brightness and TÜV Rheinland certification for eye comfort. The frame has a matte finish for a better grip, and the front glass is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 against drops from up to three meters. It also features IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K certifications, as well as an Underwater mode that, according to POCO, allows the display to be operated even underwater—a feature the brand says it is introducing for the first time.

Under the hood is a 4-nanometer Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 processor with an Adreno graphics unit. The operating system is Xiaomi HyperOS 3 with Google Gemini as the assistant, along with Xiaomi Offline Communication for staying connected even without network coverage and a volume boost of up to 300 percent for louder playback. For the camera, POCO features a 50-megapixel main camera with optical and electronic image stabilization, as well as a 16-megapixel front-facing camera; a dual-video function records both perspectives simultaneously, while AI tools such as Glare Removal and Beautify assist with post-processing.

POCO C95 Pro: An entry-level model with an XXL battery for nonstop streaming

The POCO C95 Pro is the more affordable of the two new models and comes with a 7,500-mAh battery, which, according to the manufacturer, should last for over two days of use or up to 91 hours of music playback. With 45-watt Turbo Charging, the device is said to charge enough power for a full day in 35 minutes; reverse charging is also included. After 1,000 charge cycles, the battery is expected to retain up to 80 percent of its capacity.

The 6.9-inch display runs at up to 120 Hz and is triple TÜV Rheinland-certified for eye comfort, a feature POCO highlights especially for longer binge-watching and social media sessions. The C95 Pro is powered by the MediaTek Helio G91-Ultra with up to 16 GB of RAM, including Memory Extension. A 50-megapixel AI dual-camera system handles photography, while the front-facing camera has a resolution of 8 megapixels. IP64 protection combined with Corning Gorilla Glass 7i safeguards the device against drops and splashes; the smartphone is available in Blue, Green (with a matte PU finish), and Black.

Pricing and Availability in Germany

Both smartphones will be available starting October 1, 2026, in two storage configurations each:

Model Configuration MSRP
POCO X8 8 GB + 256 GB 399.90 euros
POCO X8 12 GB + 256 GB 449.90 euros
POCO C95 Pro 6 GB + 128 GB 279.90 euros
POCO C95 Pro 8 GB + 256 GB 329.90 euros

If you buy during the launch period, you’ll pay less on mi.com from October 1–7, 2026: The POCO X8 with 8 GB and 256 GB will then cost 319.90 instead of 399.90 euros, and the 12-GB version will cost 369.90 instead of 449.90 euros. For the POCO C95 Pro, the price of the 6 GB version drops to 219.90 euros, and the 8 GB version is available for 249.90 euros—though not in black.

In addition, when you purchase either of these two models during this period, you’ll receive a free gift of your choice: Buyers of the POCO X8 can choose between a Xiaomi Sound Play, a 33-watt power bank with a 20,000 mAh capacity and a built-in cable, a Xiaomi Smart Band 9 Active, or the REDMI Buds 8 Lite. The Sound Play is not included with the POCO C95 Pro, but the other three gifts are also available for selection.

Which model is right for whom?

If you’re looking for a smartphone with long battery life and are also checking out our roundup of the best smartphones currently available, the POCO X8—thanks to its IP69 certification—is a device that can withstand rain or splashes by the pool; otherwise, only dedicated outdoor smartphones tend to be this rugged. The POCO C95 Pro, on the other hand, is clearly aimed at entry-level users who primarily want to watch videos or listen to music for long stretches at a time and are willing to sacrifice a sharper display for that.

Overall, the POCO X8 demonstrates just how much battery capacity can now be packed into a mid-range device, and the C95 Pro follows the same approach—on a smaller scale—for the entry-level segment. Whether it’s worth opting for the X8 because of its camera and build quality—or whether the more affordable C95 Pro is sufficient for everyday use—ultimately depends on how important display sharpness and camera quality actually are in daily life.
