Popular ThinkPad Keyboard soon available as external Bluetooth version

The keyboard of the coveted ThinkPads is one of the most popular on the notebook market. This is not by chance. The pleasant pressure point makes the heart of frequent writers beat faster. Moreover, the red TrackPoint in the middle of the keyboard has meanwhile reached cult status. In the future, you won’t need a ThinkPad anymore to use this great keyboard.

Effective writing even without a ThinkPad

With Lenovo’s separate keyboard, the ThinkPad TrackPoint Keyboard II from Lenovo, non-ThinkPad owners will soon be able to take advantage of the popular keyboard. The keyboard can be connected wirelessly via 2.4 GHz radio or Bluetooth. The keyboard can be connected to all conceivable PCs, notebooks or tablets.

The iconic and practical red TrackPoint remains the same with the wireless keyboard.

High battery life

Lenovo’s statements about the battery life of the ThinkPad TrackPoint Keyboard II are extremely pleasing. Thus, the keyboard should be able to last up to two months according to the company’s own statements. If the battery, contrary to expectations, should get down on its knees early, this shouldn’t be a problem. The keyboard’s quick charge function can be used via the keyboard’s USB-C port. After only 15 minutes of charging time, the ThinkPad TrackPoint Keyboard II has enough power to last for a whole week.

Price and availability

Lenovo is launching the wireless keyboard in the second quarter of 2020. The RRP is expected to be 120 euros.
