The company Nubia regularly launches high-performance mobile devices under the RedMagic brand, which are of particular interest to gaming fans. The focus is primarily on smartphones such as the Nubia RedMagic 7 (review, price comparison at Geizhals). But Nubia can apparently do even more, as the company now wants to prove with a new power bank.
The new RedMagic Powerbank offers an impressive output of up to 165 watts, making it ideal for gamers with powerful gaming smartphones. With USB-C, MacBook Pros, for example, can be half-charged in just one hour. In addition to the two USB-C ports with high output power (140 and 165 watts), the USB-A port offers up to 33 watts. However, the combined use of several ports is power-limited.
The compact design of 48 x 48 x 160 mm and the weight of 519 grams make the power bank portable despite its performance. A display shows real-time information such as remaining capacity and charging parameters. The transparent housing gives it a futuristic look reminiscent of products such as the Nothing Phone 2a Plus (review, € 396.31 *) or the Nothing Ear (review, € 119.00 *).
Capacity and price
With a capacity of 14,400 mAh, the power bank is ideal for charging smartphones, tablets and laptops. It will initially be available in China for around 131 euros. Unfortunately, there is currently no information on an international sales launch. At first glance, the RedMagic Powerbank appears to be a perfect combination of performance, design and functionality. It could provide a flexible and powerful source of energy, especially for gamers and frequent travelers. Whether and when the product will come to Europe remains to be seen.
