Price cracker – Oppo A53 with Snapdragon 460 and 90 Hz display

The Chinese company Oppo briefly presented another model to the announcement of the Oppo F17 Pro, which according to the manufacturer is the thinnest smartphone of the year. The new Oppo A53 is designed to appeal primarily to price-conscious customers. In India, the smartphone costs the equivalent of 150 euros, in Europe a price of 200 euros is realistic.

In return, customers receive a 6.5-inch display with HD+ resolution and 90 Hz. The 16-MP self-portable camera is located in a hole in the display. Despite the low price, Oppo installs three cameras on the back. In addition to the main sensor (13 MP) there is a sensor for depth information (2 MP) and a sensor for macro photography (2 MP). There is also a fingerprint sensor on the back.

In the basic configuration, 4 GB RAM and 64 GB internal memory are installed in addition to the Snapdragon 460. Additionally, a version with 6 GB RAM and 128 GB memory is offered. The memory can be extended by 256 GB via microSD card. Oppo does not specify the battery life, but thanks to the high capacity of 5000 mAh this should be more than sufficient. The operating system ColorOS 7.2 is based on the current Android 10.

When the Oppo A53 will also be available for European customers is not yet known.
