The new Adreno A32 GPU enables a 28% increase in performance and offers hardware-accelerated ray tracing. This ensures more realistic light, shadow and reflection effects and takes the visual experience to a new level. In addition, the chip supports Unreal Engine 5’s Lumen, allowing dynamic lighting and realistic environments to be displayed in games.

Optimized gaming experience with intelligent upscaling

Another highlight is the Snapdragon Game Super Resolution, a function for intelligent upscaling of games. This upscales lower resolutions in real time to achieve better image quality without compromising performance. This is complemented by the Adreno Frame Motion Engine 2.0, which increases the frame rate and ensures smoother animations.

Displays with a resolution of up to QHD+ and a refresh rate of 144 Hz are also supported, enabling razor-sharp and responsive displays.

High-speed connectivity for gaming without delay

The Snapdragon G3 Gen 3 is also well equipped when it comes to connectivity. Thanks to Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.3, the chip offers extremely fast data transfers and low latency. Optional 5G support can also be integrated, which enables mobile online gaming experiences without delays.

First devices with Snapdragon G3 Gen 3 expected

Several manufacturers have already announced that they will integrate the Snapdragon G3 Gen 3 into their upcoming gaming handhelds. These include AYANEO, ONEXSUGAR and Retroid Pocket. The first models are expected to be launched on the market this quarter.

Conclusion: Qualcomm redefines mobile gaming

With the Snapdragon G3 Gen 3, Qualcomm is setting new standards in the handheld gaming segment. Thanks to the improved CPU and GPU performance, advanced ray tracing technology and optimized energy efficiency, the chip offers a mobile gaming experience at console level. Anyone looking for a powerful gaming handheld should be well served by the upcoming devices based on the Snapdragon G3 Gen 3.
