Razer launches new headphones for gamers With the Hammerhead True Wireless Pro Earbuds, the U.S. company wants to convince with some exciting features. In addition to THX certification, the pocket headphones also offer Advanced Hybrid Active Noise Cancellation. Especially interesting for gamers: Razer promises a low latency, which should provide a decisive advantage in multiplayer games. But also friends of high-quality music playback should get their money’s worth according to the popular manufacturer of gaming peripherals.

Further development of the Hammerhead True Wireless

The Hammerhead True Wireless Pro Earbuds are apparently a consistent further development of the popular Hammerhead True Wireless. Thus, the new version of the wireless headphones also takes up popular and practical functions of its predecessor. This includes for example the self-explanatory touch operation. In addition, Razer’s new TWS headphones are also compatible with the popular speech assistants. Razer would like to have even more in the way of Bluetooth and battery life. So the headphones should now offer a more reliable Bluetooth connection and longer battery life than their predecessors.

Razer promises high stretcher comfort

Comfort is especially important for gaming accessories. This applies not only to gaming chairs or over-ear headsets. Of course, in-ears should also be able to wear them for several hours without pain. Razer would like to provide this with special high-quality earplugs made of memory foam.

These should not only be comfortable, but according to the manufacturer, they also provide reliable noise insulation. In addition to wearing comfort, Razer also focuses on general comfort functions when using the headphones. For example, they are protected against splash water according to IPX4.

Hybrid ANC

Razer gives the Hammerhead True Wireless Pro Earbuds a very special noise reduction. So-called hybrid ANC not only minimizes external noise, but also suppresses internal noise. Wearers of in-ears know the problem, for example, of annoying noises that arise when speaking. Here, the manufacturer relies on the simultaneous generation of opposing sound waves. In order for the headphones to reliably output the hybrid ANC, they use the information from the four integrated microphones. Two of the microphones are external and two internal.

THX for good sound quality

The new Hammerheads should also convince in terms of sound. This is ensured by the THX certification, which the manufacturer gives to the small in-ears. Razer himself says that the headphones should have undergone an extensive test program. According to Razer, the result is a high-quality sound experience.

So the Hammerhead True Wireless Pro Earbuds should not only be able to reproduce rich bass but also clear voices very well. Basis of the sound output are drivers with a diameter of 10 mm. These offer not only THX, but also cover a frequency range from 20 Hz to 20 kHz. You can easily activate a gaming mode by touch. This guarantees a latency of 60 ms.

Solid battery life

According to the manufacturer, the Hammerhead True Wireless Pro Earbuds should be able to reach a maximum battery life of 20 hours. The headphones themselves should last four hours. If the battery is empty, the in-ears can easily be charged in the charging case. The case itself is charged via USB-C cable.

Price and availability

The Hammerhead True Wireless Pro is now available for purchase on Razers website. In the first quarter of 2021, the in-ears will be available at other retailers. You can buy the Earbuds at an RRP of 209.99 Euro. At an RRP of 34.99 Euro you can also buy a practical carrying case.
